Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: .htaccess Hacked, Redirects to Russion SiteBe sure to look up and down ALL the directories in your hosting. I found random .php files in several places in my directory tree, far away from where my WordPress installation was.
Look for PHP files with strange names. Look for PHP files where they don’t belong — in directories by themselves, in image directories, in directories full of HTML files, with your error pages.
Look at the modification dates especially. Sort the files in each directory by modification date. Chances are you’ll see suspicious files modified in the last week or two in places where you know you weren’t working.
Wherever they are, they can go off and rewrite your .htaccess files.
abonninri, I rolled back to 2.3.3 and it seems to work.
I’m in the same situation. Any help out there?

In reply to: [Form Manager] [Plugin: WordPress Form Manager] authors and summeryThat’s a help for now. I’m running a multi-blog site, and each has its own administrator. Fortunately, only one of them is using the plugin so I can safely assign it to that blog owner.
Maybe if the author of the post could be the same as the author of the form?

In reply to: [Form Manager] [Plugin: WordPress Form Manager] authors and summeryWhat then determines who is the post author?
Any word on this? I’m about to look really foolish when this doesn’t work.
Any chance of an update to fix this problem? I get the files as attachments in the emails, but the fields in the database are blank.
Well it’s a nice idea, but I have absolutely no idea how to get it to do anything. It looks like I have to do surgery on my templates to make it go, but what do I transplant and to where?
A little — make that a lot — more documentation is needed.
The fix is here. I implemented it and it works fine.

In reply to: [Simple Quotation] [Plugin: Simple Quotation] Changing the table nameNope, no warning came up. Oh well, it was just a speedbump.
Thanks, josjo, that was just what I needed.
It also fixed most of the other problems with widgets. The only quirk left — the map not appearing on the page — seems to be a conflict with the “Simple Google Maps” widget. Once I removed that, the map appeared on the event page.
Oddly enough, disabling the batch_send and newsletter add-ons allow mail to go out.
Tried again by putting the message in the sending queue. Seven minutes later, the 2 outbound messages are still pending. 0 sent, 0 failed.
So I did a third test, same two recipients, without using the queue.
Nothing. So I paused/continued. One message went out.
Waited for the second one. Nothing.
Pause/continue, the second one went out.
That’ll be fun once the list gets large.
My second test is still queued, 12 minutes and counting.
