    Thanks for the suggestion. I contacted HostGator. There is no way to flush it. BUT, I don’t think it’s a server issue… well, not on HostGator’s part. When I open the site with Firefox with developer tools on, I can disable the cache, and I see that the style and theme css files are being downloaded, and have a status code 200. If I enable the cache, first time page load is a status 200, then after that a 300, which is what I would expect, because the pages are in the cache, no need for the server to send them again.

    Anyway, this problem threw up a red flag, but it doesn’t stop my development. My Genesis/Dynamik themes work fine. I just can’t flip to a wp default if I suspect I’m having a theme issue when developing.
