In reply to: [WP Tiles] Read me firstYes, the palm tree pic was a little misleading but we did work thru the issues, thanks.
Sorry, just edited the links
And a 3rd, which shows a photo of a palm tree as the image behind theme #2, however the image fails to appear in the actual popup.

In reply to: [Popup by Supsystic] Creates User Subscribers, NOT blog post SubscribersThank you for the comments.
We hope to get a newsletter up soon. Meanwhile, we are fine with Jetpack sending an email to followers when we post new stories. So, we want a popup that funnels to our Jetpack followers list.
So, we are fine with the Supsytic plugin being without a newsletter. The issue is: we failed to understand your plugin is creating Subscriber roles/users, instead of blog followers via Jetpack. Now, people who are becoming Subscribers are failing to get email notices of new posts. This makes us look bad, as we are underdelivering on our “get notified of new posts” language on the popup.
We experimented with using the Jetpack sign-up form shortcode in your plugin, but we are unable to disable the pre-filled text of your plugin templates. There are other free plugins out there which provide this functionality.
Anyway, thanks for your time on this. Hopefully, this thread will illuminate the differences for future users.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, we’ve tried changing to other popup themes, and the controls are failing to work. This is why we are writing to you.

In reply to: [Popup by Supsystic] Creates User Subscribers, NOT blog post SubscribersThanks for the comment. The term ‘subscribers’ and the type of subscribers created should be more clearly communicated in the language used on the plugin page. Many of us want to create mail lists of people who want to be notified of blog posts.

In reply to: [Portfolio Gallery - Photo Gallery] typo on Sorting ButtonsGreat – thank you. As a writer, it is very important everything on my portfolio page is spelled correctly!
My Portfolio Gallery is ready to Publish, but must remain in Draft mode until this fix is made. Please advise on a timeframe when this issue might be resolved.

mitchellalerts: BRILLIANT – thank yooou! I’ve found it helps to use the Text window for your work-around, versus the Visual window.
Jetpack: the issue with too much copy being posted takes a lot of shine off the plug-in, for those of us who rely on Fb posts to drive site traffic. Most traffic originates from mobile, and if 2/3 of the blog post is included in the Fb post good luck with getting a click-through. The fact that the post also advertises there are x number of words is also a great DIS-INCENTIVE for today’s busy mobile user.
Now, we’ve found that using the Custom Message window makes for a better Fb post, but a terrible Twitter post.
