I also use the latest Avada theme. Is there any other solution besides hoping and waiting for the theme developer to fix this?

Got a bit further. Problem seems somehow to reside in the reCAPTCHA integration (v3). Once I removed the keys, the form was sending mails again. When reentering the keys again, the problem is back. What is the reason for this? I do want to use the reCAPTCHA integration to prevent bots and spam

Well, they state this is a modification to their theme and they do not support that. Using child-theme files won’t work for this file type as it is considered a core-file, and thus they pointed me to using hooks to achieve this: “We have introduced hooks, actions and filters so that aspects of the themes core code can be customised using a child theme and in due course we will be expanding on that too.”

But your right I’ll revert it back to them how I’m’supposed to handle this in Hooks then.

It seemed there was indeed an issue with the provider. The wouldn’t give any details other than “something in the wordpress code was partially blocked by us”. So next time I got an issue with the site, instead of digging into wordpress I will give them a call first, would have saved me a lot of trouble.

if you’ve tried the deactivating plugins and theme reset methods then the next thing is to contact your web host and see if they’ve got any solutions…

I doubt they will look into a broken WP installation or database problem on user level, since the site and thus the server seem to be running, but I can try.

Jack; seem you might be right. The hosting company had received more complaits since yesterday of non-functioning wordpress sites. They are investigating… lets wait and see I suppose
