Thanks. That’s where I went, but I wasn’t sure it registered, as I had some error about something on a Comment?
I appreciate the Resources side as well. Does anything go to the ISP and is anyone taking any action elsewhere from reporting it here?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: Transferring Pages and Posts to ensure links workI’ve started it, but I can reset everything because I’ve backed up what I have.
There’s not too much done that can’t be done again. As I’m learning the tools in the new theme and it’s also a Block Theme, so that’s new to me, the I don’t mind starting from scratch. So are you saying to do a complete Export and then Import and then change the theme and work from there? If I did it that way, would all the links be retained as if it was the home page. I would be importing to the subdomain.eeesafe.com for instance.
I could use one of a few plugins. I’ve got Backly for instance.
I think logically, nothing is going to change on the main site unless I go back there. I’ve not blogged much for a few months any way and I don’t mind this as I will be pushing slowly into growing the engagement anyway. Too much business at first, I couldn’t cope with yet.
I will just do lots of testing on the Sub Domain and I will want to remove some blogs and pages anyway.
My thoughts are if I work through all my blogs that refer to a page and I keep that blog article, will check the page exists. So it can be a systematic thing.Hope that makes sense. Anything not working I’ll look at that redirection then as well.

In reply to: [All-in-One WP Migration and Backup] Keep existing users after migrationI’m interested in this ticket. I want to export and the only import Posts and Pages to retain the content and links that are in the posts and that reference pages. If this is not possible, where can you find out how to bring the databases of posts and pages only, into a new website please?

In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] ZipWP FailureThanks yes I have. However, today I was told the Tech Team needed access to my Site.
I told them a few hours ago that I believe I’ve sorted it and have no acknowledgement, not even on Facebook, that they have the information they need.
It’s frustrating not knowing when a simple yes or no can tell us a lot? Grrr!

In reply to: [Spectra - WordPress Gutenberg Blocks] Images not working on SpectraYes, there was an error at the server end.
Now that it’s sorted, it’s working fine.
Where is the ZipWp From Brain Storm support then? That’s got a problem now.Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: 2 Servers but 1 WordPressThanks. So I was confused about that. I’ve not yet got full migration via Plesk. Waiting on a tech issue to sort. Meanwhile I had to sort stuff out on my site and wasn’t clear if what was sorted whilst it points to my current server that the fixes would be fine, from the moment I pointed to the new server. That’s all. I think it would be the same, but as I can log in to WP from both servers at the moment, I began to wonder?

In reply to: 2 Servers but 1 WordPressThanks to both of you guys. Thats helpful. Just in terms of wording, it’s not a new site, it’s a new host, but the inference is that I wouldn’t have the changes made from the old host server, when I actually switch to the new host server.
I think then I will backup the WP site just before changing DNS entries, and restore it when DNS is complete. I can see a few backup plugins around, but I’m guessing that WP has a good backup and restore option already. I’d want to ensure I had all the images etc with it. Do you happen to know if that’s possible without a plugin? Thanks
Thanks for this. I think I’ve managed to stop this now from your advice.

In reply to: Writing a New site so what is the best way to do this? Thanks Alan. That’s quite a read and having gone through, I don’t think I’m going to be able to technically do it, in the areas I’m looking to complete.
There is actually a lot of pages and posts in the old site that I’d like to use, which do span a few years, but I will be selective and I think Exporting some and Importing others to the new site, might in the end be the best option for me. It’s just less technical. I’m launching a Not For Profit from an award winning idea I came up with many years ago. The award was in 2015 and now, I’m almost ready to launch Phase 1.
I say that because people that have been discussing and watching me are in Gov and Public Sector as well as the Waste Industry. I’ve got my name around and now the launch is about attracting people who Repair Electrical items and Consumers.
So I think it’s not fully a standing start here and I want to grow slowly anyway until I pull some revenue in. Time and resource is a big factor for me, as I have to pull in Volunteers to help as well.
I will just have to look at the technical aspect of making the old domain become the new domain. Redirecting the URL is one option, but that’s probably not the best in terms of SEO (which I will probably put a Plugin on anyway, once I’ve got content written)
If anyone has knowledge of how to do that otherwise, do let me know.
Thanks for responding Alan anyway. It was good of you to do so.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Writing a New site so what is the best way to do this?I run my own server so I’ve set up a sub-domain and I want to move the new site which is the sub-domain to replace the original domain, once I’ve completed the new site.
So I’m wondering what should I be thinking about as I structure new categories. It will be a completely new Theme I’m using.
Thanks

In reply to: The WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE constant is defined as falseI’m no expert but a quick check online suggests this should stay, if your site is managed by WP Toolkit. That is used on Servers.
Wordpress Health Status produces this, but is it really correct to define this as “Critical” under the Status Tab? What if someone wants WP Toolkit to manage the core file updates? Perhaps an edit to explain this in the warning would help, or not make it Critical?
Thanks mate. Nice job. ??
Actually I just updated to the latest version and it’s gone. Should I change “Complete Deactivation” to “On” anyway?
