I’ve now worked out to a particular level, why I have this problem. Howwever, I’m baffled as to why my wordpress site doesn’t work, when a certain line is commented out.

Backtracking…I had a set of forums running under a 3rd party product, which sits in a subdirectory which is licenced by them to operate in that directory. It’s \forum\ and where the login sits for the forums, (not the site, which we don’t allow logins).

If I comment out the line RewriteRule . /index.php [L] in my .htaccess file, then the forums work. So I’ve put a 444 on that file as it appeared to keep being overwritten by something, that would remove the ## comment on the line.

The trouble is if I allow that line in the .htaccess my WP site will not work and returns a 404 error.

Therefore I would like to find out why the site doesn’t work, when the line is uncommented. I’m unsure what that line actually does.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Sorry, but it’s the WP Bakery that is 6.6.

Actually, just saw that I am using 6.6, so there is an issue somewhere. Also my Home Page isn’t showing my home page.

I have WP 5.7 just upgraded and also TinyMCE Advanced. Fancy Titles (Custom option) doesn’t show the Custom Title anymore. I have WPBakery 5.7 but there is apparently a vs 6.6 now. I would upgrade if I knew it fixed the issue. Have you guys got 6.6 installed?

Hi Steve. Thanks for that. Spot on and works a treat.
I will check out the customiser stuff, but this isn’t my strength but it’s always good to pick up a wee bit more skills.

This is just a test page for now, but I have a complex form and I will replicate these when done, so that each will automatically direct the type of enquiry, to a useful page.

Hope that makes sense, and it seems to me the best way to accommodate things, given my limited knowledge.

This doesn’t look good? I’m looking for something like Passster, but if things sit this long before someone fixes or responds, I’m not filled with confidence here. Also, the website with Pricing and Videos are not working. I’ve allowed these to be viewed on my own security settings. Are you getting anywhere with your problem? Perhaps it’s just not been updated here?

Ok. thanks. My version says it’s 1.3.88 and that it’s the latest version.

I have exactly the same problem when I updated yesterday. The only way I can login to the back end is to disable the plugin. As I purchased this product, I would think this would be fixed. If I can’t use it, I will have it set up another company’s plugin.

I’ll give it a day, as I have a System set up with this and need to use something to maintain the members I have.

Still no news. I’ve had to tell so many people not to use PDFs and continually visit an online site to convert them. Continually support this with that advice and folks think I’m way behind the times.
