As for it showing up on the “Screen Options” menu at the top…
NO. When it is set to Admin Only… there is no trace of it anywhere inside of a post or page.

Same behavior for posts and pages.
When set to admin only… the box does not appear.
Actually…
I tried to delete them. But they would reappear. I could not get rid of them.
Then I logged back in one day, and they were gone. The text has remained empty ever since. Very strange.

No… they are NOT my hosting provider. Unless BlueHost is actually just reselling Rackspace hosting.
It has since gone away… but I sure didn’t like seeing it there.
Not sure what was going on???

You’re right. And I can handle almost anything on that sort of a sensible schedule.
I just don’t want to be worrying over anything as frequently as… for example… as frequently as our government does something criminal.
That could turn into something akin to a full time job… with overtime! lol

What I still cannot understand, is that it works perfectly fine on another blog I have that is almost the exact same setup.
It makes me fearful that that one may stop working. I can’t test everything every day. Wow!

I tried the Contact 7 form again…
with another gmail account address.
Both emails arrived immediately!
Maybe I should just use this plugin. It doesn’t give me an entry into Feedback (which is sort of nice to have a record all in one place)… but it DOES deliver email… which is the main idea.
Your thoughts? Any idea what might be going on with JetPack’s contact form?
I just tried it.
Instantaneous delivery. Now, I set it up for one email and two cc: emails. I only received one actual email… but all of the three email addresses are set through the same gmail account. So… does that make sense???
But it came through right away. No issues.
What does this tell us?
P.S. – I did not de-activate Jetpack.

I can do that. I’ll need to de-activate the form function in Jetpack to test Contact Form 7… right?
To avoid any conflicts? Or no?

No, I don’t have another mail script I can test.
Where can I get one? I’m not all that knowledgeable about these things.
And… for the record. Still NO emails received from that last test.
It’s been right at 4 hours now.

And…
It worked (about 20 minutes for delivery) after I re-activated all of the plugins. So the plugins were not an issue.
But now… I changed the email addresses to the “real” ones from my “test” emails… and it’s all stopped again.
Unless I am just in wait mode. Last time I filled out the form was 2.5 hours ago.
Any ideas?????

I have received even more of my test emails from many hours ago now.
But the REAL NEWS is… that I received one from 20 minutes ago that was sent to three email addresses.
I had most all of the plugins de-activated. I am now going to try it with them activated. It appears we’re making some progress.
