I’ve just found this other plugin which allows you to display images on the sidebar. Might be of some help for people looking for something like Gallery Widget plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-image-display/description/

The old tables will still be in your database so you can find the correct download amount there.

I guess that but I don’t know their names. Which are the tables’ names? Which are the fields that hold the total-downloads data?

It was solved just renaming the old directory without having to delete the old plugin. You might want to be clearer instructions for this import process. Thank you!

New plugin is working OK and warnings have disappeared.

When trying to install the new plugin (downloaded via the blue button under the cat picture) we get an error:

telling that /home/upbpfeul/public_html/d-3/democraciadirecta/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/ directory already exist.

then we proceed to deactivate the old plugin, but we get the same error message and installation fails.

Are we supposed to delete the old plugin? Won’t it delete the tables we want to import from the new plugin?

This process is very confusing! :-/ Shouldn’t it all be automatically done?

Please de-activate the old Download Monitor plugin and activate the new Download Monitor plugin before continuing with the import. This will ensure the required post types and taxonomies exist prior to the migration.

I understand that we must we have the new plugin installed?

Isn’t it available at WordPress plugin repository? Must we go through the “add to cart” process? :-/

Yes, that seemed strange to me. That 1.8.0 was newer than 3.x! ?? Thanks. We’ll try that importer.

Thanks, Chris. Reading the forum I found some references to a demo site using that Museum Core theme of yours, but the URL didn’t work, so I couldn’t see it in action. Anyway, I’ll give it a try.

Instead of year of publication, it could be useful (in case you use the book-review plugin for reviewing web articles, for example) to have a full date field: year-month-day as an alternative to only year.

(As a workaround, now I’m using Publish Houses’ names as Subjects. In that way I’m able to list all books published by the same Publisher.)

Maybe you can add to this request a new field for Publishing House? I’m not user of GitHub, so, please: could you, Gianni or Chris, add it to that request? Thanks, Grazie mile!
