In reply to: [Widgets for Google Reviews] ERROR widget onForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Widgets for Google Reviews] trustindex.io no more available? Its more than down, the domain name cannot be resolved.
*** dns.google can’t find trustindex.io: Non-existent domain
Further digging indicates that the domain’s status is “Client Hold” see WHOIS Domain Search | Europe Registry search results for trustindex.io
Updated Date:?2024-06-11T09:53:58Z
Domain Status:?clientHold?https://icann.org/epp#clientHold
This status code tells your domain’s registry to not activate your domain in the?DNS?and as a consequence, it will not resolve. It is an uncommon status that is usually enacted during legal disputes, non-payment, or when your domain is subject to deletion.
Often, this status indicates an issue with your domain that needs resolution. If so, you should contact your registrar to resolve the issue. If your domain does not have any issues, but you need it to resolve, you must first contact your registrar and request that they remove this status code.

Thank you.
PS: After posting the above, to be sure, certain etc. that it is the EXACT same error message, I tried it a 5th time and it worked fine – is there a timing issue?

In reply to: [Sydney] Employee page navigation duplicatedThank you for the prompt and pragmatic work around for this issue. I look forward to a proper code fix (helping everyone) appearing in an incremental update soon.
Why?
This is published as the support space for the WordPress plug-in. If it is not then kindly publish a sticky post to advise that you no longer support this space / product so that people do not waste their time posting here.
I have already posted to the new form and received a meaningless irrelevant response.
The merits of using THIS space for support is that other users encountering issues which have been resolved previously have a fast route to self help.
Maybe the Time.ly is subliminally telling its long standing users to find a different provider? Days to respond to the plug-in’s WordPress forum page, only to point users to another form to fill in … and then respond with an irrelevant boiler-plate response is not great customer service. I have recommended this plug-in with enthusiasm to several WordPress users, the last just this weekend past. Might it be time I found something different to recommend?
UPDATE: On further testing the successful page to page or display layout navigation seems to be predicated on being logged into the WordPress site (in my case) as administrator. If the user is not logged in navigation fails (regardless of platform).
Digging into the developer console 404 Error occurs on https://guillemot-trust.org.uk/?page_id=208/action~agenda/page_offset~1/request_format~json/&callback=jQuery2001047072457975939996_1713361374572&request_type=jsonp&ai1ec_doing_ajax=true&_=1713361374573
On further digging into the WordPress site, 208 refers to the in-built calendar page which the site neither needs nor uses … and thus in a recent tidying / tightening up of the site, the page was made PRIVATE as it does not need to be visible to visitors.
Reverting this to PUBLIC (oddly) fixed the issue!!
Additional information – attempting to change the layout from AGENDA to any other also throws the 404 error.
Wow!! Cracking support – thank you! That works a treat. I spent a while looking for the cause, but clearly did not identify it.
Sorry in my confusion “Note that the widget width and height settings do not appear to affect the widget’s behaviour.” belonged to some other add-in!! ??
Great support!!!

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] No events imported from ICS feedI am also experiencing this issue.
This is on a well established set up, which has not been active through 2020 due to COVID. The source calendar has been populated with events, bit the .ics import process is not delivering them. Note that the same .ics source works with other calendar plug-in I have tested whilst looking for a replacement for aioec. I do not really want to replace aioec as it is the best for my needs, but a broken / unreliable .ics import makes it non-viable.
What can I do to gather diagnostics? The information in the .ics import FAQ is scant and the “how to” link therein delivers a 404 error.
I am fully up to date on PHP, WP and this plugin. I have deactivated and reactivated the plug-in. I have signed out and in again, dropped the .ics configuration and rebuilt it … nothing seems to kick this back into life. I have seen this as being temperamental before.
Are there any known interactions with UPDARFT back up? I’ve noticed that sometimes fails to complete.
WP Site Health reports…
- The optional module, imagick, is not installed, or has been disabled.
- The loopback request returned an unexpected http status code, 503, it was not possible to determine if this will prevent features from working as expected.
- The scheduled event, updraft_backup_database, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.
Are any of these relevant to the .ics import issue? Note I can imagine that the last one might mess with the cron schedule, but that ought to have no impact on manual invocation of the .ics import.
What diagnostics can I gather and how do I do that please?

In reply to: [Sponsors Carousel] Easy to use does what it says on the tin … except> Cannot select (to copy / replace) the text of a link in the image list.
Can not repeat, please more info.I revisited this – it looks like a browser behaviour issue.
Using Win10 Edge it is not possible to select the custom link text – click drag-select does nothing, right click select all just moves the cursor.
Using Google Chrome, right click selects part of the URL (separated by the ://).
Wonder if (for some odd reason) Edge is firing the onChange event when the content is selected?

In reply to: [Sponsors Carousel] Easy to use does what it says on the tin … exceptSuggestion: Having removed the height of the carousel being implied by the image height, it would be cool to be able to use the same carousel settings but with a different height – for example:-
[sponsors_carousel] follows the settings
[sponsors_carousel height=200px] allows the height to be over riddenWith the CSS hack above, the images will automatically fill the new height of the container.
At present it would be necessary to duplicate the whole of the carousel just to specify a different height.
