in the translate is only the readme file visible. that means everything you see on the plugin page itself would be changed NOT in the plugin.

This plugin is not properly prepared for localization. so at the moment you can’t improve the language at translate.w.org

the git repo is over 5 years old. sounds like it’s outdated?

I would prefer a better, fresher way to switch the location to dropdown. Generally a drop down is the better choice for this field anyway, because you can select existing cities/regions there. So the user does not run the risk of not getting a result.

are you using Gutenberg or the “old” classic editor?

@yourguardianchef are you insert the shortcode manually or all over automatically?

did you deactivate all plugins except Yoast and reactivate them step by step? Maybe the problem comes from another plugin?

In general I am working on an update of the plugin, I hope this will be accepted. Then TOC+ will be maintained again.

You’ve got a chance to stop this. In the settings of TOC+ you have under extended the option “Smooth scroll top offset”. There you can enter e.g. 30 px and see if it is enough.

are you using Gutenberg or the Classic Editor?

Make sure that you also use the shortcode block in Gutenberg.

Alternatively you can activate the error messages in WordPress and read out where the problem might be. Then I can help you better.

you can edit the shortcode so that only h2 is used for TOC+.

You have to edit the shortcode like this: [toc heading_levels=”2″]
