    Dear kerchmcc

I am curious if (& how) you solved this issue. I have tried integrated my two blog site with a custom Google search, but I am having difficulties getting it all to work.

It has been suggested to me privately that my main issue stems from my using the WP Hive plugin, which creates multiple blogs in a single WP install, mainly meant for single admins. I think my real problem stems from this: one blog creates a sitemap no problem; the second blog doesn’t, and I don’t know why.

If you have a solution to the “multiple blogs one site: let’s search” problem, I would be keen to listen.

I discovered the wp-config had not be closed with the proper ?>

Also, I think Dreamweaver was not successfully interacting with the server, so uploading the correct file was hit or miss. The tell-tale sign was that file size should have been 3K, but it was always showing up 0K.

I switched to editing in TextEdit (will invest in a decent text editor) and uploading via Transmit. The latter made it much clearer & easier to know that I had uploaded successfully.

I have tried another plugin called “Blogroll Links” and changed the code on the page to read:

    <h3>OTHER TYPOGRAPHIC ARCHIVES</h3>
    <!–blogroll-links category-slug=”otherarchives”–><!–/blogroll-links–>
    <h3>ORGANIZATIONS</h3>
    <!–blogroll-links category-slug=”organizations”–><!–/blogroll-links–>
    <h3>OTHER SITES OF INTEREST</h3>
    <!–blogroll-links category-slug=”links”–><!–/blogroll-links–>

Mainly I worry that its not the best way to solve this problem. But this is closer to what I’m after. The categories are in order, the links are in A-Z alphabetical order. Now if only I could eliminate the bullets, the em dash and the description afterwards.

But if I don’t get any feedback, I may just settle on this solution and call it a day, or night, or whatever time it is.

    Thanks Esmi. Brilliant simplicity.

I began by switching the theme to the default, and then refreshed my Google Reader to see the feed. I did this refresh each time I turned something back on.

The sad thing is all the plugins are back on, the theme is back to my customized “plainscape” and I can’t tell what caused the problem or what fixed it. Turning everything off and switching the theme to neutral, fixed it straight way. The good news is, well . . . apparently the problem is solved.

Except for this small snag. My Typocurious blog has a brother blog (LawsonArchive.com) that is essentially the same theme with a small graphics alteration and a few CSS tweeks. Same WP version, same plugins, same everthing under the hood. The “smile face, book mark it, etc” problem reared its ugly head there too when Typocurious’s problems happened.

The insane making point I’m trying to make? That I turned all its plugins off and switched the theme to neutral (the solution that proved useful for its brother) does not appear to be working for the LawsonArchive.

I checked and “Summary” is checked. They are two twins blogs. Why they aren’t acting the same is beyond me.

Any thoughts? I appreciate your input.

    Dear Joel

I believe this is exactly the customization that I’ve been looking for: posting one’s delicious links on a single page. But being relatively new to WordPress, might I bother you to explain in a bit more detail exactly where the new code needs to be copied & pasted, and if it replaces any existing code?

how did this work out? I’m looking for the same answer. I wonder if bindanaku can explain a bit more by what he means by “As for attaching images, I usually use plugins.”
