Hi, no matter what settings I change no sidebar ever shows up. Have now deleted the theme because of this. Cheers.

I’ve just started a new site so have been exploring the standard templates more with your plugin, and after checking the page source when I insert both Wishlist and Multinational templates there is one link pointing to Amazon that isn’t nofollow. It’s right at the bottom of each block of template code and is an image source (img src=”https://www.assoc-amazon.co.uk/e/ir?..). It’s literally 1 pixel in size. Is this a potential issue that will affect a site with say 100 posts all containing this linkback to Amazon? Thanks.

Sorry Paul, don’t want to waste your time. Just found the answer to the first question by viewing page source in a browser. Nofollow tag is present. If you could just let me know about adding a link to a non api pulled image that would be much appreciated. Is there a shortcode for that. Cheers.

Hi Paul, thanks for getting back to me. I have read every relevant post on this board regarding nofollow and I read one where you said that the nofollow attribute should be next to the link in the html of the page / post where the link has been added. But when I look at a standard amazon text link that I have added in html view it does not show any no follow tag at all, just the shortcode. Is that right. Or are the no follow tags added at the end of the page load?

Also, is there any way to add a link to images (on my own server) already in a post (Not being pulled from amazon). Been trying to make this work but the image keeps removing itself in exchange for the shortcode..

It’s ok, I removed it manually myself.

For anyone else that needs to remove the slider here’s how (one way) to do it. Hopefully it works for you.

Go to the theme editor

Go to style.css

Find: .slides,.slides .slide-thumb,.cycle-slideshow{height: 400px;}

Change 400px to 0px

Refresh homepage and the slider should be gone. Working for me.

Spoke too soon. Now it doesn’t work.. And trying to use a different Amazon buy it now button by using short code doesn’t work either. Tried so many different variations. About to call it a day with this plug-in.

Hi, I’m using a plug-in that makes all external links no follow unless you use the do follow tag. It’s probably your best bet because it doesn’t look like this plug-in has much support.

Hi, got mine to work when using shortcodes instead of using the “New amazon post” option.

Why didn’t my reply show up here? I have the same problem. The only thing that shows up is the item image. Does anyone know how to fix this problem..

Also, would it be ok to install the super cache plug-in even though W3 is not uninstalled, but deactivated?
