Update to this issue, I have had another person try to update as well with the same result. They did however conclude that typing text in is ok, its when the data is pasted in.

Probably not related by in a few cases dashes are being displayed as question marks.

I would really like to avoid having to retype a massive FAQ document simply to take 3 lines out of the page.

Anybody … other ideas ?????

I’ve tried all of them and also updated to current wordpress version. Switched themes, turned off all the plugins. I update a page between each change and get exactly the same thing happening.

My method is to make the change you suggest, paste in a whole bunch of test and update, each time it truncates back to the first few lines of text.

Is there any database sizing that I can check? Our web hosting is getting pretty close to capacity, is it possible that may be causing a problem with space allocation?

its happening on my website too … what is your hosting program? This site is hosted with a supplier that uses parallels automation.

I’ve had all types of issues with ftp and permissions so I’m wondering if this issues is part of that bigger issue.

all good, found the “show hidden files” option for file manager

yes removing the .htaccess file worked for me as well

re: .htaccess – when I do a search, it says there is a .htaccess in the /includes directory however I cannot see if for the life of me.

Any other way to view files rather than cpanel file manager? It appears you cant delete unless you click on the file.

it was a plugin, I will advise the plugin owner it is causing an issue

I’m the same, my stats have simply stopped working and I know there havve been visits to the site.

THANK U everyone … fixed my issue as well.

I had installed tinymce but deactivated because of another issue with the visual editor not working. I got that sorted out by going into the database where the value for visual was stuck on false.

Then I had same issue with trying to format my posts.

Yaaah all fixed, and reinstalled tinymce which has built feature for it anyway.
