In reply to: Divi Theme – Add "read more" linkI’ve been looking for the same solution – Didier’s suggestion works for me IF I also use the “Insert Read More Tag” on each post – if I recall, this may not be available as a button above the text in the native WordPress editor, but I always TinyMCE Advanced which makes this much easier.
Hope that helps – and thanks Didier!

In reply to: [mqTranslate] How to translate menusThanks Skabadip – this didn’t work – I think codes starting with “_” are theme-specific…
Thanks for your time though ??Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [mqTranslate] How to translate menusI have a similar query, but with relation to HTML in the footer area.
For English, I want the words “Company Information” to show in the footer, and when French is selected, this should be “Informations pour l’entreprise”
This is the code that I used in “Qtranslate” but it is not working now that I have switched to MQTranslate” – both lots of code show in the footer.
<!–:en–>Company information<!–:–>
<!–:fr–>Informations pour l’entreprise<!–:–>Any idea how to resolve this?
thanksForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Shortcode Menu] Changing colour of CURRENT menu item onlyI got some help via a LInkedIn group, as had no response from the developer.
The solution that worked for me was this:
.current-menu-item a, .current_page_item a {
color: #F5C20C !important;
}Hope this helps anyone else needing a solution …

In reply to: [qTranslate] Autoupdate to WP 3.8.3 has disabled qTranslate plugin@killbrum – depending on your version of WordPress, you may need to revert to an older version as I describe in the post I linked to above
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/qtranslate-and-wordpress-39?replies=47that’s the only way I could solve it for myself.

In reply to: [qTranslate] Autoupdate to WP 3.8.3 has disabled qTranslate pluginYou’re most welcome boerea!
In the thread that @whaus links to I also posted the solution that worked for me, as I had auto-updates on that kept messing me around.

In reply to: [qTranslate] qTranslate and WordPress 3.9.@jan Dembowski
As it happened to me 4 times, I think I can safely say that it happened ?? despite what is intended…Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [qTranslate] qTranslate and WordPress 3.9.@sgross – I posted details of how to get back to 3.8.3 above – it’s important that you disable auto-updates first as otherwise each time you go back to WP 3.8.3 it will quickly update to 3.9 … good luck!

In reply to: [qTranslate] qTranslate and WordPress 3.9.Hi folks,
for those of you still struggling even after changing the plugin as described above : it might be useful to consider reverting to an older version of WP (3.8.3 worked for me) and switching off auto-updates to the WP core so that you can select to upgrade WP only when you know a proper version of Qtranslate is in place – this is what I had to do on my clients bilingual site.
Here are the steps I took:
- Edited wp-config.php to say do NOT automatically update
- restored WP version 3.8.3, keeping the wp-config.php in place from the previous step
- told my client that under NO circumstances is she to update WP herself until I give her the go-ahead! ??
Result = perfect!
These 2 articles were very useful to me to do steps 1 & 2 :
Stopping auto update https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2013/10/25/the-definitive-guide-to-disabling-auto-updates-in-wordpress-3-7/
reverting to old version of WordPress [ Please don’t use that link, use this one instead with 3.8.3 ] https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update
hope this helps some of you!!

In reply to: [qTranslate] Autoupdate to WP 3.8.3 has disabled qTranslate pluginThanks very much for the heads-up, whaus – I’ve got auto-updates switched off, and I’ll follow this & the other thread you’ve linked to, until I know a “proper” version of qtranslate is running for 3.9.x …
much appreciated.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [qTranslate] qTranslate and WordPress 3.9.Thanks for the heads-up – I’ve just been having problems with auto-updating from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2 and 3.8.3 – so I’ve switched off auto-updating of WP until things are more stable!
