Hi all

For the benefit of anyone else having this problem – I eventually fixed this by speaking to my Web Host who first increased the server memory allocated to my site and then made “corrective changes in the server’s Mod_security setting”.

They declined to provided any more information about what they changed but it sounds like the corrective action is to speak to your web host.

Looks like latest version of WordPress doesn’t like the rest of my setup for some reason.

Hope somebody out there has some suggestions…

What is your website URL? What WP theme do you have?

Thanks for the suggestion.
I renamed the parabola theme folder to parabola1 but I still can’t log in and now – as you predicted – my website won’t load either (White screen only).
I believe WordPress is / was set up for automatic updating.
I’ve checked the Parabola theme page and can’t see anyone else who has had this problem recently.
Any ideas what to try next?

I appreciate that I asked 3 questions in 1 post but I hoped they wouldn’t be that difficult to resolve!

Anyone have any suggestions for any of them?

I’m not ‘comfortable’ editing PHP, but I managed by trial and error to comment it out and resolve it (for now at least)

Will be interested to see if it happens again when I upgrade this plugin again in the future…

Turns out I had a “Blackhole Exploit Kit” Malware infection – An extra line of code had been added to the Header.php files in my theme.

Malicious code has been removed and all passwords have been changed. Everything appears to be OK now…
