I’m in the same boat… do NOT try the WordPress Automatic Update plugin, it really messed my site up.

I’ve heard of people upgrading and skipping releases. I know that the database changed around 2.3, so you could try skipping a few releases up to around there, doing a few consecutive updates, then skipping ahead to 2.6.

p.s., do NOT forget to make a FULL backup – files and database!!! I’ve even gone so far as to make multiple database backups with different options checked.

Does anyone know if this plugin has moved elsewhere? I can’t find a distro of it anywhere ??

1. Place the following anywhere in your sidebar.php:
<?php the_subscribe_links(); ?>

2. Open up sem-subscribe-me.php and look somewhere around line 415-ish (or just search for the “h2”). Remove or (better yet) comment out:

. "<h2>" . $this->captions['syndicate'] . "</h2>\n"

That should work just fine.

I’m having this problem as well. Even after dropping the files into the correct folders (including functions.php and sidebar.php), even switching out my old sidebar.php with the one that comes with the widgets plugin, and even after switching to classic and default themes, the same result happens. Completely baffled.

i’ve been getting those weird verification ones too. useless. BALEETED!

Didn’t work for me either. It showed all subpages on any page but home, including subpages for pages that weren’t selected. I tried using a unique subpage template, and/or a default subpage.

It was easy, enough for me to follow the instructions exactly as laid out. It’s probably awesome for those who can use it, but alas, that’s not me.

…good thing it turned out to be my own fault. no problems, then!

mine went well. but i noticed that my post times are gone now. i haven’t the foggiest where to peek.
