In reply to: Gutenberg Blocks BrokenI actually originally posted about this problem months before this re-post. It’s been happening a long time.
I just tried to use Reusable Blocks — it immediately started acting buggy, even affecting the “Save” function, top right of screen. The data/images saved inside the Reusable Block did not appear correctly on the front-end, despite displaying accuratenly in Gutenberg.
I’ve ruled out theme conflicts, local networks (happens on all networks), plugin conflicts (happens without any plugins installed, other than WPEngine default stuff). No idea what to do. It really messes up my ability to create my site.
ReUsable blocks hasn’t worked for most of 2021 for me — and it’s happening to quite a few people.

Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Gutenberg] Reusable block says: the block cannot be displayed inside itselfI’ve been having this issue, too.
I’m seeing it on fresh installs, default themes, no plugins. WPEngine hosting (they can’t figure out anything on their end).
For my site, it’s rendered me unable to work, especially because Reusable blocks (and sometimes adjacent blocks) seem to be deleting themselves w/o my direction.
Some people have had trouble with certain plugins, or re-installing WP — and I thought that helped at one point, but the issues returned.

In reply to: Gutenberg Blocks BrokenYes, I forgot to mention that! Theme conflict is not an issue: unedited 2020 is the default theme.
Also got the same debilitating problems on a clean install with 2021.
Thanks for any help.

In reply to: Re-Usable Blocks BuggySomething else to add that may be helpful:
I’m seeing Re-suable blocks — in the Block Manager — show this error message: “Block cannot be rendered inside itself.”
This is happening all over the site, on the back-end. Things are largely okay on the front end, but when there’s an attempt to edit the blocks, they break, badly.

In reply to: Amazon Links Not Supported in 5.3.2This also appears to be a problem in all web browsers, all themes, with zero plugins activated.

In reply to: Amazon Links Not Supported in 5.3.2The classic editor does not seem to help here. I’d prefer not to use it, anyway.
Here’s what amazon’s site says:
“Copy the generated HTML and paste it into the code for your website.”

In reply to: Amazon Links Not Supported in 5.3.2I see. I’ll try the Classic Editor plugin and see what I can do.
It’s unfortunate, though, I had zero problems until 5.3.2.
Thanks for the tip ??

In reply to: Amazon Links Not Supported in 5.3.2What I know is that for years I’ve been able to center/left/right justify inside the Paragraph block, as well as control the size of the image.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Amazon Links Not Supported in 5.3.2Yes, and it leaves the image/link unable to be styled at all, which makes for extremely hideous pages, much less able to get click-throughs.
All images will be left-justified, with images unable to be resized.

In reply to: Amazon Links Not Supported in 5.3.2Hello, thanks for the response.
Unfortunately, this is not a WooCommerce issue.
This problem persists with all plugins deactivated.
In fact, Amazon’s affiliate links have nothing to do with Woocommerce.
This seems to be a problem with 5.3.2, not any other plugin or theme.
This code didn’t seem to improve the situation, fyi.
Thanks!
Hello!
Yes, I’m trying to say that these functions do not work appropriately. When padding is reduced to zero, it actually increases the padding in various instances.
As a paying customer, I just want to let you know that I simply cannot make column/container blocks looks acceptable on smaller screens.
I’m sure my lazy loading is messing it up. Going to give this code a try.
Many thanks ??
Thanks for the responses! Yes, I can confirm it’s off-center based on other centered objects/titles above the accordion.
Many thanks!
Thanks for the response!
Okay, so I’ve tried this a good number of times. These control settings work well in other features of the plugin, but for reason they aren’t quite working right, here.
For one, the appropriate setting is the “Column Paddings” heading, and it doesn’t have a negative value. When set to ‘zero’ it reduces the padding by about 8-10px. Better, but almost exactly the same.
And for some reason, “Block Margin” settings seems to have mutually exclusive results when multiple margins are adjusted. Also, the problem is not so much with the block, but the container within the block, wherein there’s just a whole lot of padding that can’t be taken out.
Again, this is only a problem on the smaller screens that are not in fashion.
Thanks for your help.
