Took your advice and reinstalled the theme comments still not appearing. They’re working on the blog posts fine but not pages – simply doesn’t make sense!

Thanks for getting back to me, yes the comments settings are enabled and I’ve also noticed that the “leave a comment” option is also not coming up on the page – all was working fine before I ran the upgrade.

Since originally posting I’ve done the following:-

deactivated all plugins – no change
re-installed all files except wp-content from a new a fresh download on WP – no change.

Tried activating a new template – no change.

Cleared cache – no change!

Can’t think of anything else other than uninstalling the whole site and re-building ??

Going to sleep on it if anyone can think of anything this evening that would be great,

If it helps in the media library I can see the file names and their properties but just not the image itself!

It’s exactly the same if I upload a new file.

the files are there in the folder when I log in via https://FTP.. just don’t understand it! Think at this rate I’m going to have to cut my losses and r-install!
