I am trying to accomplish much same thing in the sidebar. I’d like to show the recent post from a certain category while excluding other categories from the list.

Is there a pluggin or widget that will make this a simple process? I know nothing about PHP or how to implement it.

Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

Can this exclusion be used as a text widget in the sidebar? I am trying to show specific category posts in the sidebar widget “Recent Posts” while excluding posts within other categories.

I am having trouble adjusting the width of the textarea in the form. I have read through many of the posts regarding this topic, however, I can not figure out where to apply any of the CSS changes.

I too am having the same difficulty. Is there a better form out there at this point?

I too added the code into the style.css file within my WordPress theme and no styling has occurred. Is there a specific place the code needs to be added?
