In reply to: [WordPoints] How to show point in a author pageHi
I’ve not found a solution to this problem yet.
I am using ultimate member plugin and all I want to do is display the points rank and points total of each member in their profile page. How can I do that please with php and/or shortcode.
thanks
TNWell, in the profile (edit) page there is a field where you can enter your facebook username. JUST the username needs to be entered (not the whole facebook URL because UM adds this behind the scene) and ultimate member automatically adds the facebook URL when you save the profile.
I want the same sort of thing only I want to be able to choose a custom URL

In reply to: comment_notification_text editingOkay, thanks for the reply. I’m surprised that it’s not a basic setting because when WordPress is set up as a multi-site it means that all the comments notifications will include the commenter’s email which should generally remain private surely? unless the commenter so chooses to allow public viewing. I mean, this forum won’t send me the email addresses of everyone who replies to this thread will it?
I’ve installed the ‘Better Notifications for WordPress’ plugin now and unchecked the email notifications in ‘Discussion’, but it’s not ideal.

In reply to: [wp-Monalisa] Plugin did not work and disappeared default smiliesThank you. I checked the db and indeed the use_smilies option was set to 0. Changed to 1 and they are back.
I’ll try again and see what errors I get and post them here.
thanks again for the reply.

In reply to: [Front End PM] Announcements pile up for new reg usersShamim, Thanks for the reply. I realise now that announcements should be treated as such (announcements) and not normal messages. Once the announcement is deleted it doesn’t pop up as a backlog on new users accounts.
So this works fine.
thanks for the support.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Front End PM] Deleted database messages still there! Thanks for the reply Shamim,
What does ‘in transient’ mean?
Anyway, I discovered that deleting the announcement also deleted them site wide so they don’t pop up on new accounts. So, as long as I delete announcements periodically they won’t pile up like stated. Thanks for the prompt support.

In reply to: [Post Hit Counter] Tweak to stop counts from REAL Author on MU site?Update:
I’ve managed to tweak this plugin now so that it doesn’t increment for the writer of the post. Also removed it from the admin bar.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Adminimize] Hiding JUST a single divThanks. Got it to work for that now.
would be good to have some guilds on how to construct the strings in relation to the divs, ids, classes and so forth. I’ve examined the strings in the default options but I can’t really work out a standard system of implementation.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Asgaros Forum] Missing 'created by:'I’ve had a fiddle and, like I said above, I found that I could change the way UM displays the username or first/last name at the front end. I’ve changed this and created a new test account and it seems to now display the members name on the forums as it should.
So, UM by default will show the members FIRST/LAST name on the frontend. It can be changed to display USERNAME on the frontend in UM settings.
sorted.

In reply to: [Asgaros Forum] Missing 'created by:'Although I’ve marked this as solved I just realised that the forums are taking Ultimate Member’s FIRST names as the name to display on the forum. It’s fine if the member has chose to complete that field but if they don;t then the forum will show no name.
Question:
Why is the forum displaying the First name from Ultimate Member rather than the username?thanks

In reply to: [Asgaros Forum] Missing 'created by:'Further:
Yep, my Ultimate Member’s member settings were set to show the first and last name on the front end. I’ve changed this to ‘show username’ on frontend and the forums now show the correct ‘Created by: {username}’Sorted
thanks

In reply to: [Asgaros Forum] Missing 'created by:'Further:
Found out that if using Ultimate Member then the username is not used but the first and last name of the registered member. If I register and don’t put my name in the First name/Last name fields then the forum will not show the member’s name. Not sure if this is a conflict between Asgaros Forum & Ultimate Member, or if it’s a problem with just Ultimate Member.
The default WordPress login only asks for a username doesn’t it?
