    Further testing

    I’ve created a new user
    The Admins get an email saying the user has been created
    The user never gets the email invite
    If I attempt to login as the user and request a forgotten password, they get a link to change their password

    I’ve tried this sending emails both by php sendmail and through an external SMTP server (elastic email)

    The results are the same for both – the user never receives the invitation

    I’ve looked in the code (I write PHP code for a living) – user-new.php and it appears that the email should be sent with the call to wp_mail around line 98

    wp_mail( $new_user_email, sprintf( __( ‘[%s] Joining confirmation’ ), wp_specialchars_decode( get_option( ‘blogname’ ) ) ), sprintf( $message, get_option( ‘blogname’ ), home_url(), wp_specialchars_decode( translate_user_role( $role[‘name’] ) ), home_url( “/newbloguser/$newuser_key/” ) ) );
    $redirect = add_query_arg( array(‘update’ => ‘add’), ‘user-new.php’ );

    Can someone confirm that this is being looked at with a view to fixing please

    Many thanks

    The godaddy issue is being sorted, I hope. But the main issue is that users aren’t getting the new user email. Has anyone solved this?

    belay that – I’ve found out what I was doing wrong. I expected the “View Landing Page” button to show me a preview of the page. It doesn’t – I have to save the page first. Is there a preview option?

    That’s tru e- but the search still showed the rem’d out code as a problem

    Latest version of sendpress is still broken with the same problem. Can’t let you access my test server, sorry

    OK, I’ve got my website up on a test server. Upgrading to 0.9.9.5 causes the subscribe widget to break. It and everything after it is not displayed.

    The settings for the widget are the same for both 0.9.9.3 and 0.9.9.5

    On the settings/advanced page, the Table Info box shows “Tables Installed” and then nothing even though the sendpress tables show up in phpMyAdmin

    on the Help page the “Recent blog posts” is missing completely, the shortcode cheat sheet only shows the titles “Get Recent posts”, “Signup” and “Unsubscribe Form”. Clicking on them does nothing

    Here’s the debug info

    Disabling signup form ajax does nothing.

    That fix may work, but something broke in the upgrade as the previous version worked.

    here’s the debug information of the version that is working – sorry, I’m not putting up the bugged version

    Not sure how I’m going to get a screen shot here as there doesn’t appear to be anywhere to upload a file

    I’ll try and get a test site up and see if the fix listed above works – however, as I said, they update is broken

    That’s great – do you want a beta tester?

    I’d really like the ability to create a template email in sendpress and then be able to copy it (or use it) as the email. I’m not talking about changing the default template as I actually want 3 different templates that I can use for different emails

    Thanks

    I’ve tried it with and without the other plugin activated and it fails either way. The other plugin works fine (the plugin is wp-mail-smtp)
