In reply to: 3.2.1 update dashboard problemHooray, it’s all back! I can’t see which version of WordPress I’m now using but it’s saying that an update failed and I should try again. Needless to say, I’m rather reluctant to do that!

In reply to: 3.2.1 update dashboard problemYes just found it thank you. I have to go out but will do it later. Do you know if I should restore the database first then upload the WP files or the other way round?

In reply to: 3.2.1 update dashboard problemHi, I have all the backups from One.com – I actually think they’re the same as the backups I made. What I don’t know how to do is how to restore the database. I can replace all the WordPress files via FTP. I guess there must be a section on how to do it somewhere in WordPress help. I’ll have a search to see what I can find.

In reply to: 3.2.1 update dashboard problemI’ve just asked my host if they can restore a backup from before the disaster and they’re going to try to restore the site. If they can’t, I guess I can do it but I’m not sure how to.

In reply to: 3.2.1 update dashboard problemYes, it asked me to update the database – which I did. I assumed that was because I had reloaded WP. Then the screen went blank again – so no dashboard and no website

In reply to: 3.2.1 update dashboard problemHmmm … seems to have made things worse. I now can’t see the website either. But apparently my version of WordPress is up to date – at least that’s the message I get when I tried your last suggestion. I had tried all the others and, after trying the first one, the website disappeared too. Previously it had been there.
Any other thoughts? I’m getting pretty worried now.
Thanks.

As you can see, the body font needs to be white – I’ve changed it in the body style but there’s something overriding it.

In reply to: Upgrade WordPressThanks for that – I’m going to redo the whole site as it’s way out of date so it won’t be a disaster if I lose stuff but I’ll try and back up first.
