Infrasoundkids, I followed your instructions and when I get a “successful” search result (one that leads to content on the site) nothing changes.

When I have an “unsuccessful” search result (nothing found) the font is nice and big like I want it.

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply. When you say “anywhere” just anywhere? You mean go into style.css and paste that in anywhere?

I found the issue. Apparently the twenty ten theme does not like it when you have no text or nothing but media embed code in one of the cells. As soon as I added “Video in 1987” over the youtube embed code the cells correctly aligned.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll look into it. Could it be as easy as changing

vertical-align: baseline;

to

vertical-align: top;
?

It worked. But only to get the the previous installation restored… which is fine with me.

At the top of my dashboard it says:
“An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.”

I will be looking at that forever.

After auto-upgrading to 3.0 I lost my website. After reading in the forums I got the impression that it was a plug-in issue, so I deleted all the folders. I left hello.php and index.php. I then got a different error message = Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_multisite() in D:\Hosting\6120655\html\wp-includes\wp-db.php on line 505.

I don’t mind deleting whatever you suggest, I’ll go back and re-download the pug-ins or widgets. I can only access my fie manager – not dashboard.

You wp helpers are always so good at getting us out of jams… you poor guys and gals must be swamped… thanks in advance for any help. Stay positive and we’ll get through this ??

It worked. I used the first easier process “Edit wp-config.php “. I can’t change the general URL settings anymore, but I don’t care. I’ll just have to buck up and learn more CSS to change it later. I’m up and running. It was much simpler than I thought it would be. thanks esmi.
