My site is set up so you’d have to register to view the events. So I took a screenshot of what pops up on the screen when you RSVP with one guest and linked it below.

But the screenshot only shows part of the list, I believe. It’s got 9 listings of the same “test mctest” guest name, and the final lines are blank, as if to add more. It’s confusing to users who RSVP with one guest, because it looks as if they’re bringing 9 people instead of one (9 people with the same name).

Nevermind. I found one that worked! I installed the Restrict Content plugin, and it not only restricts pager per user group, but it allows access to the the Edit Profile/Dashboard, and it also has an option for entering a message to non-registered users on a page that is restricted.

I figured out what was wrong. ??

There’s an issue with this plugin where in order to be able to change user access levels, you have to set their WP role to “No role for this site” otherwise it defaults to higher level access and it’s grayed out.

But when you set “No role for this site” it removes the user’s ability to access the dashboard/profile area. And it also conflicts with the Redirect After Login plugin.

I deactivated the UAM plugin and re-assigned WP roles to the users, which fixed the RAL not working, and also gave access to the dashboard/profile area.

However, now I can’t figure out how to restrict viewing access to pages on my site based upon role, since none of the plugins for this have worked. ??

I’m very open to suggestions. Thank you!
