In reply to: [WP eCommerce] WPEC not sending shipping charges to PaypalPaypal refunded me for $400 in lost shipping charges yesterday. It required several emails and some long phone calls, but the support staff was helpful and reasonable and apologetic. Good luck to everyone else, and thanks for your help here.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] WPEC not sending shipping charges to PaypalI’ve been told by four different Paypal support staff, both on the phone and in writing, that this is a known issue that they hope to resolve by tomorrow and that I’ll be reimbursed for loss of shipping income. I plan on holding them to that, as I’m out several hundred dollars in both domestic and international shipping charges.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] WPEC not sending shipping charges to PaypalYes, that’s what Paypal told me. It’s a known issue, should be resolved by tonight or tomorrow, and they’d credit lost shipping income to my account. What a mess.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] WPEC not sending shipping charges to PaypalUpdating to 3.8.14.3 does not help, and in fact causes other issues for our site, so I’m back to running 3.8.13.4. This is quickly becoming an emergency, as we ship products internationally, which involves costly shipping.
I’ve tried restoring plugins from backup to no avail. And I’ve spoken to tech support at our host, and they claim that it’s not an issue on their end, that it must be a plugin.
The problem began between 8:05PM and 9:25PM EST last night. Suddenly orders stopped sending shipping charges to Paypal.
Please help! What happened last night to break the communication between WPEC and Paypal?!

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Shipping Charges NOT Charged at PayPalHi tim92109, did this issue just begin for you last night, by any chance? Everything has been working fine for me, but shipping charges stopped being sent to Paypal sometime between 8:05 and 9:25 PM EST last night.

Theme: SightAt some point late last night, with no warning, and having done nothing to my site or Store/Paypal settings, suddenly WPEC stopped sending shipping charges to Paypal. The Premium Shipping plugin still calculates the charges accurately, and they’re displayed during checkout, but they aren’t passed onto to Paypal, so customers aren’t paying shipping for their purchases.
Do you have any ideas why this is happening? I’m using Paypal Payments Standard 2.0 as the payment gateway, and all the settings appear correct and have not changed since yesterday.
This is an emergency, as customers have been buying products and not paying any shipping. Thank you so much for your help.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Tax calculations do not transfer to PaypalThanks, Mihai.
My settings are as follows, though I’ve tried changing them several times with no improvement:
-Product prices are tax exclusive
-Add per product tax rate to percentage if product has a specific tax rate [none of my products do have different tax rates]
-Apply tax when shipping country is the same as tax rateI have one tax rate set up, for North Carolina sales in the U.S. at 7.5%, not applied to shipping.
WP E-Commerce calculates tax in the cart correctly, but it doesn’t transfer to Paypal for some reason. This problem only seems to have occurred recently–I just caught it the other day, but I believe it began a couple of weeks ago when I updated to the most recent version of WP.
I found an awkward workaround by removing the billing details fields entirely from checkout in Store Settings–since we only accept Paypal payments, that does suffice for the site–and for some reason, tax calculations are now passing on to Paypal. However, this is far from an ideal solution, as we’re planning soon on accepting credit card payments directly, and we’ll require billing details.
Any ideas what’s going on? Thanks very much for your help!
