In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] edit and make sub entitiesDear Fewbig,
Thanks for contacting us, but, what do you mean by “sub entities”? If you mean States, then the process is very easy. From the “Target Country” dropdown list, choose the country you want to add states to. Then you write the “State Name” and “State Code” then press “Add”… That’s it!

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] Not workingHi Archimak, of course you can edit the code, there is nothing illegal in doing so. After all you will never change the code into something malicious that will hurt yourself :).
The plugin works with WPML which allows you to translate to any language supported by them. It may as well work with other translation plugins but we didn’t test.

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] Not workingHi Archimak and thanks for contacting us. The free version will not change states in countries predefined by Woocommerce, only premium version can.
Countries predefined such as the United States or India. You can check the functionality by creating states for example in United Arab Emirates or Egypt. Any country that comes with no states predefined will do.
Best regards

The current translation plugin supported and tested is WPML as the states will show as strings available for translation within WPML String Translation.

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] Woo Add Custom StatesHi Gmustafa,
Thank you for contacting us. Creating a mandatory or optional field is out of the scope of the plugin. We add the states that you want to add into the form created and managed by Woocommerce.
You can check this link for info, otherwise, you would contact Woocommerce team:

Hope this helps

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] State name instead State code on Backend and EmailsHi svenms,
Actually whatever happens on the backend is Woocommerce/Wordpress business. What we do is, we give you an interface to add customized states, then, we add them to the woocommerce pool. From this point on, Woocommerce is the controller of what and how should be outputted.
Is the issue you mentioned happens only with the states added via the plugin or all states?
Best regards

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] Where are states added?Hi Fabio,
We noticed that you are trying to change Italy, unfortunately, the free version doesn’t allow changes in countries that come populated by WordPress such as US, Italy…etc.
In order to make sure it is working fine, add another country to your “Allowed sell-to countries” let it be “United Arab Emirates” or any other country that doesn’t come with pre-populated states, and add state(s). You will see it working.
If you want to apply changes to Italy, please, consider buying the premium version.
Best regards

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] Where are states added?Hi Fabioweb,
Thank you for contacting us. The top has the “State Name” & “State Code” when you press the button to add, it will show below in the table.
Now, if you got to Woocommerce => Settings => Shipping, and you start adding a new shipping zone, you will find the state under the country you added it to. You can always search by the state name you added.
Best regards

In reply to: [Woo Add Custom States] How to translate added states?Hi bo9adiq,
Sorry for the late reply, but I’m not sure why I don’t get e-mail notifications for opened issues.
Anyway, We already tested it with WPML (as well as reported by other users) and it translates fine.
Try the following:
1- Logout from the WP-Admin to become as a normal visitor
2- Open the States dropdown menu like in Checkout page
3- Click on some statesNow, login back in WPML and check the strings, you will find the states added.
Best regards
