In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWI’ve reset my website and am beginning to rebuild using twenty seventeen theme and the only plugin active being Memphis Docs Lib.
I uploaded one test file. Download and Description both work but I’m still getting error messages in Preview. Any thoughts on where to go next to try to effect a fix?

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWThe latest update doesn’t seem to have resolved the issue so we’re rebuilding the website using a default WordPress theme.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWThanks for that suggestion. I tried that tonight but had to look up what ‘comment out’ means. I’ve placed /* before the text and */ after it so it reads as shown below. Hasn’t fixed the issue so I may not have commented out correctly.
/* elseif (!is_numeric(stripos($_SERVER[‘REQUEST_URI’], ‘/feed’))) {
$message = sprintf(‘Premature output is preventing Memphis Documents Library from working properly. Outputs has started in %s on line %d.’, $file, $line);
echo ‘<div style=”border: 1em solid red; background: #fff; color: #f00; margin:2em; padding: 1em;”>’, htmlspecialchars($message), ‘</div>’;
trigger_error($message);
die();

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWI’ve made no changes to the server recently. I upgraded to a VPS some months ago but the site has been working smoothly until recently. I’m building a new site on a subdirectory using a default WordPress theme and have mostly uploaded the docs in our library to it. There are a couple of hundred. This is the second time I’e had to take this action. It takes time as I can’t find a way to batch upload. Once I’ve rebuilt the site on the subdirectory I’ll replace the original site with it.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWUsing previous version of Mdocs didn’t help. I’m now restoring the site from a previous version to see if that is a fix.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWOdd. I don’t know the site. I’ll delete that file and see it that resolves the issue.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWThe site wasn’t loading correctly when I had the Page Builder plugins deactivated. They’ve been reactivated and the site looks ok, but the problem of Preview remains.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWNo modifications have been made to mdocs. I only noticed the problem when I uploaded a doc today and tried to preview. Then I checked other docs and the problem is there sometimes, sometimes not.
Might it be worth loading the previous version?

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] LOST PREVIEWI disabled all plugins other than Memphis Doc Lib. Problem still remains.
The other plugins on the site (now deactivated) are Akismet Anti-Spam, Jetpack, Page Builder and Site Origin Widgets.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Cant download file without being logged onThanks, worked for me too. Worth noting that using the Batch Edit also works for fixing a single doc.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Cant download file without being logged onI’ve changed the code but am not sure which drop down menu to navigate to in order to see the output. I’m logged into my site and have scanned the I’ve tried the Options drop down inside the Memphis Docs Dashboard and it doesn’t seem to be there. If it’s the drop down menu triggered by clicking on a file, I see this

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Cant download file without being logged onIt’s now checked. It wasn’t previously. Checked or unchecked recent docs are not visible unless logged in.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Cant download file without being logged onI’m having the same problem – can’t preview or download docs after 26 April 2016.
Have checked all the settings and they all look correct for downloading by non-members.
Not sure if there was an update around that time?
Edit: looking at the previous comment, there doesn’t seem to be a Settings checkbox for individual files to be‘downloadable by non-members”.
