I just want to say that I have RESOLVED this problem.

It’s completely my own misunderstanding.

I did not realise that you have to add the galleries to the albums within the gallery: they only show up in the album after you have done this.

After you create an album, you then go to each gallery and add it to the new album. There is no setting to do this from the album. I had forgotten how I did it in the first place! My apologies.

I can now also no longer add or change galleries in albums on another site where I was already using Simply Gallery and where it worked before. Could it be due to an update of Simply Gallery?

The only plugin I can think that might be causing it is WP Downgrade where I have set it to stay at version WP 6.2?

The Theme I am using is Twenty Twenty-Three, Version: 1.6 which I think is the latest version.

Thanks. Is there any way I can resolve this, or find out which plugin or theme might be causing the conflict? Or perhaps I can manually add galleries to albums somewhere in the code?

Thanks, that’s excellent! Have changed the background on the arrow to almost transparent, which makes it far less intrusive. Many thanks!
