Another problem! The system won’t let me make any edits to Gallery Settings. They revert back to using the previous settings after Save. The only thing I can think of is before I did that I updated the NextGen version to Version 2.0.66.17. Could this have compromised the system?Thanks Cais
I do see on this page https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/templates/
the instruction to move the modified template from this folder:/wp-content/plugins/nextgen_gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view
to this new folder
/wp-content/themes/[theme you have activated]/nggallery
That wouldn’t make any difference to using legacy templates would it?The line in the template reads
<div class="pic"><?php echo $image->href_link ?></div>
would I just remove
->href_link
I don’t see ana
tag to remove so this is all I can think of.Let me make sure I have this right. By using a template (which I modified to meet my design needs), I can’t use Ajax pagination? My solution here is to edit the template to implement Ajax on its own? Just confirming…
Cais
The Ajax pagination option was already selected for the ImageBrowser. And I had already cleared the cache. It seems like Ajax pagination is not working in this case since the whole page refreshes every time I click on Next or Back. Is there anything else I can do?

I did try that and it didn’t get rid of the link.The photo in the image browser still links to the full-size version of the image, It open up floating inside of a black screen instead of the white light box. I want to get rid of the link altogether.
Thanks! works now
I found the file and edited it by moving the elements around. I saved the file in the same location in the /products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/ngglegacy/view/ directory. It doesn’t make a difference. Is there something I am missing? Do I need to edit something to point to this directory?

In reply to: [Track Everything] Not workingWell it did not work. So I deactivated it again. We were having some conflicts with some plugins and didn’t want to add this to the mix. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [Track Everything] Not workingI took it down but now I have reactivated it. Thanks for looking into this.
When I did have it activated, I did have the analytics.js checked.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Track Everything] Not workingI have Universal Analytics installed. Maybe the plugin does not work with that. If so, it would be nice if it was clearly marked as so Universal Analytics is the new operating standard for Google Analytics. All accounts will soon be required to use Universal Analytics. So it makes sense if your plugin would work with that.
I am using the most current version of WordPress 3.7.1.
The site is asisnyc.org.
I went to the Ethoseo website. Then to the ‘contact’ page. There was no contact form there and the phone number went to a generic voice mail not one for an working business.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: cropping featured imageI did a complete new installation of WordPress using the Twenty Thriteen theme.
Added a feature to the sample page. The went to Media Library, selected the image, cropped it, saving crop to apply to thumbnail. Update image.
The thumbnail in the media library changed.
But the appearance of the feature image on the page does not.
I tried again this time cropping the image to apply to all image sizes.
Still no change.
then went to sample page and deleted featured image and added it back again.
Still no changeTried on several browsers and refreshing cache.
Are you able to get this work yourself? If so can you tell me the exact steps you did that made it work?

In reply to: cropping featured imageThanks for you help. I did not expect you to help support me issue with the theme. I was just sharing the situation I found myself in. I think what I will do is to do a test on a totally clean site using the default WordPress theme with no plugins and see if the situation is any different. Then I will post back here what I find.

I haven’t tried the other steps since I need to focus on getting my site back working again. Are you sure that these will work though? Do you know the answer to my question about whether edit image affects Featured Images.The theme was SCRN and was purchased at themeforest. Should have done a backup before I switched themes, I guess.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: cropping featured imageI am using the most recent version of WordPress. I tried switching to the default theme which did not make any difference.
I see the correct thumbnail when I go into Media Library > Edit Image.
Is it possible that a featured image and thumbnail are two different things?
Is editing an image limited to a specific use?(SIDE NOTE: When I switched back to my theme, the custom CSS I had created for it was deleted along with my design work of several months. So I have bigger issues right now than Image Edit. But it would be nice to know. I have rarely been able to edit an image inside WordPress and have it work. And I have been working in WordPress for several years now. It mystifies me. )
