I think I didn’t explain my issue clear enough.

I had in the beginning one website with WordPress without network/multisite.
Let call it: https://www.myweb.com
Later I decided that I want to add two more websites on the same WordPress administration panel with sub-address.
https://www.myweb.com/site2/
https://www.myweb.com/site3/

I enable the Network by editing the wp-config and the htaccess files and added those websites via the network administrator.

My first website is loaded when I enter https://www.myweb.com but I want to change it to be loaded when I enter https://www.myweb.com/site1/

How do I do it?

It does multisite.
That is way I do think there is a code editing way to change url of each site without changing folders.

I found in the network admin what I think I need, but I have a problem:
Under Network Admin -> Sites
I choose one site and click Edit
Then uncheck the check box “Update siteurl and home as well.” under the path section and click save. But this box return to be checked somehow after “Site info updated.” message appears. What am I doing wrong?

I think I can change the siteurl and the home via Edit -> settings in each site and it will solve my issue. But before I can do this, I have to solve the check box issue.

I have tried another way. I create a clone website in the new sub address and import the settings (that I exported from the root website). It did work, some of the settings. But it was not good for me, due to the fact that I did modified the css’s files and insert a few source code into the files of the theme. Therefore, I might have no other way, but as you advice, to copy manually files/folders from place to place.

If there is another way, I would like to here. I’ll wait a few days before I will start cut&paste folders via the FTP.
