Hi,
I have WPControl installed and my cron events are all working fine, except yours that randomly remove themselves, so it isn’t an issue with my site, my cron events or anything in my control (I run my own physical servers and have full control of them, I’m not using a hosting provider at all)…
So, I say again, it appears to be a bug in your plugin…
I’m seeing this issue with the latest version too, did you find the cause?
Andrew,
Updated to 2.4.4 and had another membership renewal, this time the renewal date updated correctly, so either you fixed it in 2.4.4 or there is some very odd conditional logic in play in the renewal code.
Hi Andrew,
It is happening to all renewals since I updated to 2.4.3…
I am not prepared to spend more time on this (even though I do have a dev/staging setup), I will instead go back to using Woocommerce and my old way of offering memberships and managing them. I really don’t need many of the features your product offers and to be honest it is more complicated than managing my membership/subscription customers the old way I used before trying your plugin.
I just wanted you to be aware of the issue, not just because it affected me, but it will probably also affect others that rely far more on your Membership plugin. Thank you for taking the time to investigate it, even if you could not find the cause of the issue I raised.
Andrew,
All I have in there is some code for the Register Helper to add some extra fields to the checkout form, nothing else.
Regards,
MartinAndrew,
I am running Stripe and that was the gateway used by my customer to renew their subscription.

No custom code, and the only other plugin that has been updated in the last 24 hours (when I updated your plugin to 2.4.3 from 2.4.1) is MetaSlider to version 3.17.2.
I also noticed a new item on the users account that I don’t remember seeing in 2.4.1, this being:
Subscription Updates
The existing customer/member expiry date has not been changed when they renewed, it is still set as expiring on the 5th of September, 2020 despite them paying, and an order notification from your plugin being received, and also a Approval required notification email from your Approvals add-on.
I’m running WordPress 5.5 (EN-GB version)
Andrew,
Well, thank you for nothing! I’m glad I haven’t now purchased a support contract with you if this is the level of support that I will be offered, as this response isn’t very good or helpful.
As I stated this only happened after I updated your Membership plugin from version 2.4.1 to 2.4.3, so there is obviously a bug in that version when customers renew a membership (before their existing one expires)….
It was fine before the new update (all other add-ins are unchanged from the versions used with 2.4.1)
I guess I will go back to doing all the membership management the old way, without using your plugin or services.

I had the same issue, multiple times and the issue crops up from time to time, and as I was not willing to put up with such a cr*p payment plugin as that offered by Automattic.
I have moved to a new Stripe plugin, which (so far) has been flawless.
I would suggest trying it out (after disabling the Stripe plugin from Automattic).
The one I use now is, Stripe for Woocommerce by Payment Plugins…
Easier to set up, just works, and has more features too!
Please note: I am not affiliated in any way with Payment Plugins, just a happy customer.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway] Used to be great, broken now!Hi,
This is the best Woocommerce plugin for Stripe I have found:
Stripe For WooCommerce by Payment Plugins
I also use Stripe Payments by Tips n Trick HQ as a backup, as it is not a Woocommerce plugin, just a WordPress plugin, also useful for donations where you don’t want Woocommerce getting in the way…

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Digital Download Methods – Downloads FailingFrom my own experience of using X-Acell-Redirect with mod_xsendfile enabled on any third party (shared cloud) hosting, you will have issues as they throttle (limit) CPU, I/O, and other things that make it difficult (if not impossible) to deliver large files via these services.
I ended up having to run my own physical Linux servers to reliably deliver large files (up to 4GB) to my customers. I even tried using S3, but that was also problematic with such large files (and costly too).
You may be able to do this via a Virtual Server, but don’t expect it to be reliable, as what you are doing is really beyond (in my expeerience) the capabilities of most cloud shared and virtual server providers (unless you want to spend some significant cash)…
Thank you for adding BCC and updating the plugin, I have installed it and set it to BBC an email address, and will let you know if I find any issues or oddities in its behaviour.
Hi,
Thank you for the response, however, I really don’t want to have to go editing plugin code.
That posting was written over 4 months ago, I’m somewhat surprised that you haven’t included the code in your plugin already.
It would be a lot simpler than having your plugin users having to hack the plugin code themselves, and would probably get you more users in the process?

In reply to: [Free Downloads WooCommerce] Accept Terms and Conditions Check Box?Hi Richard,
I can see the email capture in the Pro version, but not the accept Terms and Conditions?
I have no problem paying for a plugin, but not if it doesn’t do everything I want it to do.
