Some updates: Nothing is showing in the PHP server error logs related to this. Also unsure how can I enable the error logs directly on the plugin? My server tech team asked how this is done, as they are not blocking anything.

Interesting facts:
1) I can generate new posts on another installation I have somewhere else
2) It generates title and sections, but doesn’t generate content, the error shown happens when generating content
3) I’ve updated the plugin to the latest version, I created a new API key, and I have credit valid

Any help is welcome. Tried to post some questions on discord, but not sure how that works. Thanks

Unbelievable, I did a quick edit on most of my pages and all galleries gone.
Then, started to search what could be the problem…. and found this!
This issue has reported 5 months ago, and not updated already.

Contacted my host (VPS) and their reply was that cPanel controls what PHP versions are in the repos and updates are handled by EasyApache4. There is no way to roll back a minor version update of PHP…. the only way I see to avoid most pages being offline is to disable nextgen plugin until this has been solved.

Same issue here, running PHP Version 7.0.26, have the whole website down at the moment due this problem, with the following on my error_log file:

Having exactly the same issue today and glad I found this post.
On my error_log I get the following:

Disabling the plugin the error is gone. I’m with PHP version: 5.6.30

Thanks! That seems to have solved the issue.

So, found the problem was related with cloudflare. Disabled cloudflare and reverted back original nameservers, and everything is back normal again.

Quick question: how to deactivate the plugin and get all images back into the server? Hope I don’t need to add one by one individually, but I’m afraid that will may happen…

Well, once again I think i’ve solved myself. Deployed a backup from managewp back to wp version 4.4.2 and now everything is back again to normal.

Weird stuff. Can’t really get this plugin to work in one of the websites.
It writes correctly to the .htaccess now, I have compared both files on each website and they are similar. I can only understand this as either a plugin or theme compatibility issue. Can’t solve this.
All functions of the plugin work great on site1, but on site2 no function works at all.

Found the problem, really couldn’t be permissions.
There’s a malware detect script installed on the server that for any reason is blocking the media upload php script.
Was able to find this information on WHM, under Security Center -> ModSecurity? Tools -> Hit List

Will check with my hosting server admin.
