In reply to: How to move a “feature image” out of the header?I found a way!
Since I been having much problem on getting info from the theme, to the plugin, to the site builder… I finally found another plug in to be able to do individual header and footer for each page…
1. Downloaded addfun header footer plugin
2. Inserted the proper Open Graph codes for the specific page that I am working. And now I can have the picture that I want with a description of it when I create a link on Facebook and LinkedIn.. I gonna give it some time and I think it might work on other social media sites as well.

In reply to: How to move a “feature image” out of the header?Grr..
So I just uploaded a picture on this link below, and it isn’t showing on Facebook yet… maybe tomorrow?.. This is not uploaded as feature image and so far it isn’t being picked up.

That is super cool, thanks.
“insert headers and footers plugin” might be what I was missing to do this without actually showing the picture on the actual page. I have been looking how to get the the header of each page and haven’t found a way in WordPress.
Now, interesting question…
Do you think I have to specify each social media site for information? twitter, facebook, etc??
I for example use LinkedIn often, among other sites… it would be interesting to know how ohter sites react to the OG tags without any specific info for them.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Feature image for siteThe site icon could be a feature image for the main page.
But I am talking about adding feature images to each page, specially on the blogs, so that when I leave a link in social media sites that feature image comes as the image of the page.
Maybe I can just upload an image and that image would automatically show up on each link.
But what if I want the feature image NOT to be visible on the actual page?
What if I upload 2 or 3 images? How would any website know which image to pick up?
People from Yoast and Visual Composer told me maybe the theme creator controls this type of setting, and that is why I am posting here.
Other people told me that “open graph” which is a code setting could handle this type image setting.
So far no luck with any of the wordpress plugins, theme, or site creator tools.
It seems to be a coding arrangement solution that might be beyond the reach of Yoast or Visual Composer.
Of course if I would know actual coding (which I would like to learn in details) I wouldn’t be jumping between these guys.
Would you know any forums for WordPress coding in which I can find where to place these type of functions?
I have been reading about open graph from Facebook and how to place a code on the headed and so.. but with WordPress I haven’t even found the proper location on where to place the codes.
My experience in coding and wordpress is of course limited.
This is what I got from Yoast.
“We suggest contacting your theme developer for more information as the theme (rather than Yoast) controls how the feature image does or does not appear on a page.”
Now, I am the site owner and I have been building new pages from the webiste that was initially built from another person.
Question:
How do I know what theme is this?
I have no interests and I will not go back to the person who started the building of this site. I will find a way around it before going back to them.
I am also using Visual Composer and they don’t know how to deal with feature images either.
They don’t handle it that way.
With Yoast you just upload a picture to the page and that is it.
I am not looking to upload the picture on the page. I am looking to reference the picture to show on links posted in social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc..

In reply to: How can I add a feature picture to the webpage link?Ok, I hear you..
So, it is better to add a separate image besides the YouTube video even if I want that image. (It is from my own video creation btw)
Question:
How do I get structured data image on a post? Should I just upload an image below the YouTube video?
Is there a way to add a structured data image without the image actually showing on the post once you click on it?
The only place I seen a feature image coming from a video was on a google search with my page as a result, and that was under video search as well… so… maybe having the video image as feature image might not be used at all.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Question about editing Blog categoriesThis is under Post> Categories, then I pick a category.
You will see:
Name
Slug
Parent Category:Description
Sitemap settings:
Sitemap inclusion: default
Relative priority: defaultDescription:
Description:And then starts another option for Yoast SEO..
Are all of the 3 description options above not part of Yoast SEO?
What about the readability option? Where would I input that info?

In reply to: Picture for a blog postI hear you about Yoast.. they might be able to help with what I would like to do, but at the moment I do have Yoast and I need to upload an image to the page in order for links to pick it up.. at least that is what it seems like.
On the other hand check out this link below.
The fist page below on google is showing my tu.biz/.. link, and the second link is from my YouTube channel…. not sure if that is only because I did a “video result” search and it is picking up the picture of the embedded YouTube video on my tu.biz page..
Ideally I would like for all external links to show the image of the embedded video rather than adding a new one…
Next… checking with Yoast see if they have a solution without adding any extra images to my post.

In reply to: Creating 2 blogs in 1 website.Grr… I hear you.
It’s a little more technically advanced than what I can do, or want to explore to get it done at the moment.. plus it would be just include a category into another page and not really another blog.
It is something to consider. I’ll put it in the back burner for now and see if I can get the time to explore that option.
I could also consider just make another category and deal with it all in the same blog..
Thank you ..
