In reply to: WP Editor MisbehavingTo fix the problem go to Appearance –Graphene Options – Display tab, and go all the way down to near the bottom where it says Miscellaneous Display Options. In the bottom of that section, tick the box for “Disable custom editor styles”. Instead of one character per line, your text will now be rendered at about half the content area, which seems to be what the rest of the pages have on them too.

I appears that the Graphene Theme treats the Editor differently than most other themes.

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINCouldn’t find any reference to .mce-content-body so I added the item as indicated to no avail. Editor still funky.
So, I shall try the earlier fix you outlined.
Thanks for all the help here.

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINI just realized that the current Graphene Theme has a Child (graphene-child)! Sorry for the oversight I was too concentrated on the main theme. This child theme was created with the original site. The child has a Folder = images and a file = style.css which is rather lengthy with 2323 lines of code. I have no idea why this was created with this particular website.
This may contain the answer as to why the editor is misbehaving. Could you give me an idea of what to look for in it that i could change to possibly solve this problem.

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINThank you for the “option space” idea – I would love to try it BUT I cannot figure out where to put it. Can you be a bit more specific as you are dealing with a rather challenged webmaster here.

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINThank you for the effort and for the “work around” Now, where do I put it? I can find no file .mce-content-body and no item labeled custom CSS rules for the graphene theme.

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINWell, I can make no sense out of this ‘inspector’ and everything I try does not work. This seems to be beyond my rather limited technical abilities. I do appreciate the advice.
I have seen several other posts in other areas regarding this problem so I am not the only one affected by it. However, I have found no solutions to this short of completely deleting the website and rebuilding it from scratch.
I find it impossible to accept that no one has found a solution to this. I would humbly suggest that someone highly versed in WP needs to figure this out and post it to this forum so that the rest of us can get on with our lives. Obviously, I am not the one to do this.
Hi,
I was having the same problem with several url’s which would not delete from my white sheet in WordFence.
Here’s how I deleted them:
1) Log into WordFence Firewall;
2) Under the “Whitelisted URLs” heading, on the end of the line containing the url if the item you want to delete, click the “edit” button and delete the final words/characters on the line containing the errant url.
3) Click “save” and then click “delete”.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINOk, I have the “inspector” working now what am I looking for? How do I spot “rogue css”?

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINThanks for the reply Otto.
When you say “inspector” are you referring to the tool under the developer section of firefox?

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINMark,
Is there a way to re-install the wysiwyg editor ONLY in WP. IF so perhaps that would overwrite the error and solve the problem.

In reply to: wysiwyg Editor Misbehaving – AGAINMark,
What you suggest sounds reasonable and I agree that this is something particular to this install. However, this exact error showed up several months ago in another site which I subsequently deleted and totally rebuilt. That site was housed on a server which I no longer use and this site is also from that server. Also, unfortunately, you are above my expertise in looking at and understanding the CSS.
So:
1) How do I do this;
2) What am I looking for in the CSS.I really want to get to the bottom of this problem so that in the future IF it shows up again I will know what to do.
