In reply to: [Theme: Twenty Fifteen] How to change the space for site titleThanks. It works.
I tried adjusting the numbers, and found out it looks better if the three words are on the same line (reducing the font size). Also know I know how to fix, so if I change my mind.
While I’m at it, is there a line for centering the logo in the sidebar? It looks weird that it’s all the way to the left.

In reply to: [Theme: Twenty Fifteen] How to change the space for site titleI found this plugin. From there, I can adjust when widgets are shown or hidden. I added the top menu to the sidebar, and chose to hide it on desktop.
That way, when the device gets too small, and the top menu has disappeared, a new menu is visible in the sidebar.
Good catch. I didn’t even notice that. It works now – the part where the top menu is gone. Thank you.
The last thing is, how to add a menu to the sidebar, when the top menu bar is gone?
(So people can navigate the site, when on small screens / mobile.)I’ve switched to top-navigation, so now at the bottom it says:
@media ( max-width: 955px ) { .top-navigation{ display:none } }
But the top menu is still not disappearing.
Ah yes. I removed it, since it didn’t make a difference (so things don’t clutter up, when I try different things).
I have now pasted your earlier suggestion om the
style.css
file in the child theme.Just to be clear, when the window gets too small, I want the top menu (which will otherwise be blocking the sidebar/menu button), do be switch out with a sidebar menu.
Yes. Right here.
Hi.
I placed your code at the bottom of the child file
style.css
, where I have put the code for the custom top menu. When I resize the browser window, it’s as before (meaning your suggestion didn’t work). I even tried different names instead of .top-menu, like
.top-nav-menu
and.top-navigation
, but neither worked.Maybe I put the code in the wrong file, or it should be place a different place than the bottom of the
style.css
child file?Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Add logo between site name and tag lineOops. Found the build-in function for this. Go to the “website identity page”, and there is an option for adding a logo. The logo is placed above the site name.

In reply to: Move site description to the right of logoI added your suggestion in a style.css file under my child theme, and it works. Thank you.
There’s another thing I’ve been wondering about. With the theme update the tagline was also made into all capital letters (but only at the top. The tagline is also at the bottom of the page). Do you have any ideas as to how I make it back to the previous not-all-capital letters and italic style?

In reply to: logo in headerWell thank you ??
I have tried to insert the last part, but when I do so, the logo gets “cut off”. It looks like there is a white margin above the banner.
Is there a way to let the logo get on top of that, or can the margin or padding from the banner be decreased in some way?

In reply to: logo in headerThough I noticed a small thing. The title is moved down, when the logo is moved too. So the title and the search box don’t line up.
How do I avoid moving the title down?
