In reply to: [Strong Testimonials] Strong Testimonials fails with WordPress 5.0This issue is resolved. The folder for Strong Testimonials was in the plugin folder. I deleted it. Then reinstalled the plugin and it works fine now.
Sorry to bother
I’m interested in this solution as I had the same problem.

In reply to: Issues logging inSo sorry you are experiencing this issue.
If you were able to get past the white screen, I have a couple of questions.
Are you using /wp-admin on the end of the url?
If so, Lost Password should work if you are the admin. Lost password sends an email to the email address associated with the admin.
Are you the Admin or is the person from Elance the Admin? In other words, is your email address is associated with this Admin account?
Check the email address for the admins. Change it to your email address. Then try Lost Password.
Hello Chandar,
Try using the Press This tool. Press This allows you to clip text, images and videos from any web page.
In the Dashboard go to Tools >> Available Tools.
The instructions for Press This provided by WordPress.com may be more useful: https://en.support.wordpress.com/press-this/

In reply to: How to add Posts Categories to their related PagesYou could use a post to page plugin. These type of plugins allow you to add specific categories via a shortcode.
I can no longer recommend Posts to Page by Bloafer but it is 2 years out of date and has not been tested against the latest version of WordPress.
You could try Posts for Page by sihibbs.

In reply to: Menu for custom blog pageRegarding the menu on the blog page, do you have a sidebar on your blog page?
WordPress has a widget called Recent Posts that you could load into your sidebar widget area. This widgets will provide a list of your recent posts. The default is 5, but you can change the number of posts to show.
Or, you could create a custom menu under Menus and use the Custom Menu widget to place the custom menu in your sidebar.

In reply to: how to change author memeber to subscriber roleI would not advise doing all 15000 at once. You might run into problems. Try smaller numbers like 50 at a time.
In the Dashboard, select Users. On the Users page, near the top right corner of your screen find and select “Screen Options.”
In Screen Options, change “Number of items per page:” from 20 to 50. Click Apply. Close Screen Options. Now you can bulk edit 50 users rather than 20.
Check/Enable the box next to “Username” This will select all 50 users. Scroll down the page to verify. Scroll back up if necessary.
In the “Change Role to…” drop down selector, select Subscriber. Click the Change button.
Verify that all 50 users now have the role of Subscribers in under “Role”.
I hope this helps.

In reply to: Change background colour on Media GalleryHello ajr888,
Some themes like Divi and Avada support changing the background color via theme options or page options. Other themes allow you to add a class to the page or use the page id to adjust the background color with CSS.
What theme are you using?

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] RSVP form not workingWe worked on this at a support group meeting.
Here is the problem. Because the default (ticket number) is set to 0, when one clicks the “Confirm RSVP” button. The error message reads “Please fill in the RSVP confirmation name and email fields.” This is confusing because there are no name and email fields.
Is it possible to set the default ticket number to 1?

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] RSVP form not workingHi Parulgarg2,
I put <?php wp_footer(); ?> inside the functions.php file (hopefully that is what your meant.) But no change.
Actually, the form only appears because of the following code:
.tribe-tickets-meta-row {
display: block;
}If I don’t use this code only the button “Confirm RSVP” appears below the content.
Still need help
Hello, yes the update to version 6.1.8 and the plugin MySQLi fixed the issue.
Thanks so very much!
Hello,
I am having the same problem.
“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 9675893 bytes) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas08_data02/47/3195347/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1255”
My web host GoDaddy increase my memory limit. But the problem persists.
Best,
TumikiaGreetings,
I was able to connect. JetPack was set up using my clients WP.com account. Once I switched to her Admin account I was able to connect.

I am experiencing the same “wrong token” error with a site hosted on iPage. However, on Blue Host and Go Daddy no error. I’ll downgrade if necessary.
Would prefer a solution.
