In reply to: [Widget Responsive for Youtube] Multiple videos side-by-side?One other thing: when I upload a preview image, even if the image is 300 px wide and I specify a max 300 px width for the video, the preview expands to fill the entire 900 px space.

In reply to: [MM Forms Community] [Plugin: MM Forms Community] Alternatives?Motionmill, the company that had taken over the product, might be out of business. The link on their site to Google Code is broken, and searching Google Code for mm-forms returns the same set of broken links. So not only will there be no updates from Motionmill, it looks like the community in general won’t be able to keep up the code.
I have the plugin last updated in March 2011 and can post it somewhere if anyone wants. But I won’t be maintaining it.

In reply to: Why won’t Flash movie load? Thanks for your reply. I just got the movie running and loading the XML. Not only did I have to use absolute references, but I had to include the https:// protocol AND had to put everything in the server’s root. When I used the absolute reference to the template folder, the thing wouldn’t run.
Fortunately for this case, I have full admin rights to the server and can re-code the ActionScript to find the XML with the absolute path. But if I ever have to do this in a case where I’m restricted, I’ll be banging my head against the wall again.
It’s pretty bad that WordPress can’t find assets that are all in the same folder with no path specified.

In reply to: Need help toggling multiple XSL style sheetsIn case anyone else is following this……I’ve achieved the effect I was looking for using tabbed panels (using the Spry panels in Dreamweaver, but I suppose jQuery or other panels will work, also). Each panel uses the same code I posted above, except they each call a different XSL file.
But still: if anyone has a better idea, please speak up.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Fatal error: call to undefined functionAfter uninstalling and re-installing the plugin, I can upload images if I disable the Flash uploader. The Flash didn’t see the upload directory (listed above), even if I set permissions to 777.
@ralfmue — could you enlighten the rest of us how you did this??

In reply to: tinyMCE is not defined!Thank you, ravirajakumar! I deleted that .htaccess, and the toolbars in both the HTML and visual editors reappeared. Since there’s already an .htaccess in the main wpmu folder, it doesn’t seem necessary to have that other one.

In reply to: Embed Code disappears for someI can confirm the problem exists in version 2.3.1. In the Options area, there’s a checkbox for “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” (there’s no other option for XHTML). Even with this option deselected, and editing a page when logged in as the Admin, WP breaks the Embed tags.

In reply to: Why do embed tags convert to ibed tags?Yes, this happens to me, too. I’m embedding video from ustream.tv and whenever I change the page in which the video is embedded, I have to embed it again.

In reply to: Please add static pages to the main RSS feed. PlleeeeaassseeeeI’ve been looking for this feature, too. Writing a single post per category is not the same thing as writing a page — all posts show up on the home page, but pages don’t. Pages show up on the sidebar, but posts don’t. If you use WP to create a whole site, this is a major difference.
My own reason for wanting RSS on pages is to make it easier to publish links. For example: I created a site for my municipality (https://www.HistoricFlemington.com) where we need to provide links to Borough Council minutes and town Planning Board minutes. Right now, they’re just links to PDFs. So rather than creating PDFs and linking to them, I’d rather have each meeting’s minutes become a post on one of the two Minutes pages, then distribute the minutes via RSS.
I couldn’t give a rat’s ass that these won’t scroll into an archive over time. I’ve even disabled that “feature” on the main page.
Now that I know I’m not the only person who wants this, I’ll add my vote to requesting that ability.
