I tried adding the ‘Updates’ page to the menu, but of course it redirects to the home page.

Static page is selected.

Front page: “- Select -” , as in nothing selected (that’s the only way it will work)
Posts page: “Updates”

I created the blog page as a Page, and named it /updates/, but whenever I go to csplacemaking.com/updates, it goes to the home page.

I don’t have anything set for the front page:
Settings > Reading > Front page displays > A static page > Front page: – Select –

I’m using a WPMU Studio theme, and there are no options to select the blog page in the Theme Options.

I’d like to change what’s at csplacemaking.com/category/updates to csplacemaking.com/blog.

Both URLs in Settings > General are https://csplacemaking.com

Anything yet? That is, a visual RSVP list like with Facebook, Evite, Eventbrite, Ning…?
