Even though the error was entirely mine, I might suggest adding an FAQ that advises trying the ?nocache=1 query parameter to eliminate caching as a possible culprit for the dreaded “it’s not working” problem.

I can confirm that the problem is not limited to Chrome. Same thing happens when I use Safari. Laggy behavior started right around the time my recent post hit 1,300 words. Further troubleshooting with the Health Check plugin will take some time, but I will report back.

Sorry for the late reply.

• My site does not have the Gutenberg plugin installed.
• I will test the site with all plugins as you described later this weekend.
• I’ll try using a browser other than Chrome to see what results I get. I am using a Mac.
• I only notice the lag on posts that have reached more than about 500 words.

@melsalvador5 Did you open a support request for this? I’m still experiencing the problem.
