Thanks for your help. I think I solved what I need to solve. Didn’t know there was CSS generated outside the main stylesheet…so Firebug helped me to find classes that I didn’t know were there.

Thanks for the response. Sorry, I wasn’t clear, I am using:

    Category Posts Widget 4.1.2
    and
    Widget Blocks Widget 2.3.5

But, it doesn’t seem to matter which widget I use in the sidebar. The formatting is being stripped out. The post itself is formatted nicely, but when it’s displayed in the sidebar, there is no formatting, including ul li.

When I use a tool to analyze, I see that there’s a: div.sb-widget. I can add CSS to that, e.g. I can change the font size, color, etc. of the whole post that is in the sidebar widget. But, when I try to add something like: list-style: disc; nothing happens…it’s still all straight text run together.

The Widget Blocks Widget is allegedly supposed to allow you to fully mark up a widget with WYSIWYG formatting, but that, too, shows no formatting when it sits in the sidebar, except I DO at least get line returns displayed, but still no bulleted lists.

It just seems like something is over-riding the sidebar formatting. Is that possible?
