A tarball is just a compresed package. The same as a zip or a rar file.
Tools like winrar uncompress them the same way.

It works with MU, but just at blog level. You can manage capabilities blog by blog but not site wide.

Site wide management will be provided when WordPress 3.0 is released, as it will integrate MU into standard WordPress.

We are really sorry, but development is going only tested and supported on current maintained versions for WordPress and PHP.

No backwards compatibility will be provided. The same way obsolete WordPress versions are not supported, obsolete and unmaintained PHP versions are abandoned.

Next release is finished and in testing state. If all goes as expected, a couple of days.

A new version to solve this bug has been released.

Just I would recommend:

Save your modified file on a folder outside the theme’s folder with a new name like ‘dating.css’. This will prevent to lose your changes when upgrading the theme.

Create a file named ‘alkivia.ini’ in your wp-content folder and write this on it:

custom-palettes-dir = /home/user/http/palettes
custom-palettes-url = https://sample.com/palettes

Of course, the directory and URL will depend on where you set the custom palettes folder ??

After doing that, go to theme options and select the new ‘dating’ palette.

I solved this. Follow this instructions to test it:

1. Go to https://tracker.alkivia.org/view.php?id=222 and download the two attached files (home.php and front-page.php)
2. Replace this files on your theme (via FTP).
3. Set your theme as widgetized home.
4. Go to Pages, create a new page titled ‘Home’ and select the ‘Widgetized Home’ template. Don’t set content on this page.
5. Create a new page named ‘Blog’ and leave it blank.
6. Go to Settings->Reading and set ‘Frontpage displays a page’
7. Select ‘Home’ as front page, and ‘Blog’ as posts page.

This should work as it works for me ?? When releasing next version, this will be included.

Is not possible with current Chameleon version. Simply forgot to include the proper way to create a page for the blog.

You’re right. This is a plugin bug that has been solved for the next release.

This is a planned feature as it has been requested before. As seen there are more and more requests about this, it will be implemented in some near version. Not in the coming 0.10 as features and fixes had been closed for 0.10 but probably on 0.11.

This issue has been solved ?? I will submit to the themes repository and will be available as a fix on next days.

Register Plus seems not been tested for any WordPress version after 2.6.
You can try it, and if works, only have to create your own community template with those fields from register plus.

The file is packed at the WordPress site. You get exactly the same file doing manual or automatic. Most of times the error is caused by a bad connection (or too busy) on your hosting provider.

I had the same error with several plugins on some providers. Changed from them and never get it again.
