Yep, I put the whole folder in there.

Can anyone help out with this? The PodPress forums are kind of a spammers paradise with little support to actually be found.

I’m having the same problem with the PodPress plugin. I’ve used it a couple of times, the first time… I somehow fluked out and it worked fine. Plays like a dream.

The second time, it hasn’t worked. The player does not even appear in the post and when I hover over the ‘Play Now’ or ‘Play in Popup’ links, I get a javascript:void(null); message in the bottom bar on my browser. When I actually click the link, I get the error Can't load wp-config.php (located in "/homepages/0/d164063511/htdocs/wp-content"). You must put this plugin in your plugins directory ("/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/").

What does this mean? The plugin is installed in the correct directory and the only thing that these locations could be from, I think would be from the settings?

I’m having the exact same problem. Exactly. I’ve uploaded by sql database and had started with a brand spankin’ new version of WordPress. Now I’ve got to do the whole thing over again?

    *sigh* Soooo frustrating.

No one has had this happen?

Ok… I tried plugging in the wp-admin/upgrade.php into the address bar and it worked… sort of. I can get into my dashboard now but there’s absolutely no css for the site or the dashboard. I tried following a link to get to my presentation (themes) and I got a 404. But when I plug it into the address bar, it brings up the screen… but again with no css for the dashboard or for the site.

I’m stupified as to what’s going on here.

    Edit: Nevermind… I’m a stupid fucker.

    Oh… and when I went to wp-admin/install.php I got:

    “Already Installed

You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.”

    What up?

Ok. That’s bizarre then. This is the only thing that I’ve done to this theme and now it doesn’t work. Time to delete the whole folder and start over maybe.

In the index file (index.php) of the theme that I’m trying to customize, it already had a section to include <?php _e('Author'); ?> (it was disabled by default) and upon changing that to include it and uploading it, things got all screwed up and the theme no longer works, giving me the above message. Other templates work fine though. I’ve re-uploaded the original files, but it doesn’t do jack.

I think I was using the rich text editor (which I have since turned off since it drives me nuts.) It also added a bunch of extraneous code into my text boxes that I specified here.

I’m having what appears to be a confliction between miniblog and ultimate tag warrior. It hasn’t really created much of a problem, except that it’s showing the tags from my last full blown post as the tag of my most recent miniblog post. The miniblog writing editor doesn’t give you an option to include these tags when you’re writing the post, so I’m guessing this is some sort of default. Any way around this?

Forgive my ignorance… call in? How do I do that?

    In reply to: htaccess

My apologies for the ignorant question, but here goes:

I kind of understand what the .htaccess does with WP. I want to upgrade to WP2.0 and backup said htaccess file, however I’ve never actually created one and don’t use any permalinks yet.

I’ve yet to check to see if it’s there as a hidden file but at first glance, I don’t seem to have one. Is this something that is automatically created within your server or do I have to manually create it? If I haven’t been using permalinks, is it something I should still back up?

    Again, forgive my ignorance. ??
