Can you try re-saving your permalinks ?? make sure you have “pretty permalinks” too – anything other than the ?p=56 looking url.

Can you provide us with one of the links that is giving a 404 as well.

3.How do I upgrade to the pro after I have already built it in the free version.

Once you’re a premium member you get access to our WPMU DEV Dashboard, which allows you to easily install/upgrade plugins, including upgrading from the free to paid versions!

I’m not too familiar with S2Member, but with WPMU DEV Membership it allows you to use URL Groups. So for example, you can block off:

domain.com/courses/course-name/ and everything after that. So it is essentially blocking off access to your course. You can build those URL groups to include several courses if you like.

Then assign a URL group to a membership level and once a member signs up with that level they will be given access to the course ??

If S2Member has a similar feature to that then it should work the same way!

Does the plugin work well with buddypress as well? Thanks for all the info Samuel, much appreciated.

Would it matter which way I did it? I’ve read that doing it manually through the htaccess file is preffered? Is the plugin just as effective?
