I did what you said.. but the blog page (home) is empty

Thats all fine and working.. but In order for me to get a working blog page, in Reading settings I have to select
Front Page Displays >
A Static Page >

Front Page “Something”
Posts Page “Blog”

It wont let me select blog as the front page and as the posts page at the same time..

Ideally Id like the Front page to be the Same as the blog page But just the excerpts. So im looking for a workaround.

Ok great I got the blog page working as it should..
However, to make a homepage with the blog posts summary Id have to make another page called Home. When I do this I have too many menu items and it drops to a second line..

If its too much trouble to work around ill just set the homepage to an existing page. But if there is a simple way to edit the spaceing between the nav items and make the homepage display the blog entry summaries I might like to do that.

Hello, I made an empty page just by adding a menu item.. so Im tryin to put all the blogs into that page.. ive only done it by manually entering HTML to fake it. What I want is some kind of code for all the blog posts to appear in full
