Hello Bianca. From what I understand, your website’s slider is not working after updating version 5.9, correct?

May I know the name of the slider plugin that you are using? I would suggest updating the slider plugin you are using to its latest version and seeing what happens.

People can extract usernames from the URL of the website. WordPress itself is secured, and usernames are not considered private information. It has been discussed in this trac ticket.

If you want to strengthen your website’s security further, I strongly suggest you implement a strong password. You can also install a plugin that bans people trying to brute-force login your website, such as Jetpack plugin.

The next step I would recommend is to try clearing PHP cache such as OPcache. If you are using a content delivery network such as Cloudflare, you can clear your cache by following this guide.

Additionally, WordPress hosting often has a special cache feature.

You can also try the “Purge Varnish”/”Flush Memcache” tool if your hosting provider offers that feature. You can also contact your hosting provider to flush Memcache and Varnish for you if necessary.

You may try to clear your browser’s cache and check if the issue is still present.

Did you install WordPress on your local computer? If yes, maybe you’re enforcing force HTTPS redirect in your webserver configuration resulting in Mixed Content issue.

You can also try clearing your browser’s cache and see if the problem still persists.

For a quick solution, you can install plugins that automatically redirect all the we HTTP requests to HTTPS requests.

Upon checking your site, I’ve gathered two possible usernames. “AdMin” and “BlueCom”. Maybe you can try to use each one of them on “lost your password” page and hopefully, you still got access to the associated with that account for you to retrieve the reset password instruction.

Just to clarify a little bit, you are trying to log in to your site’s dashboard, correct?

If you use the “lost password”, you can reset not just the current one but any account that you are trying to recover as long as you remember the email address that you used.

If not yet, you can do so by going to your site’s login page and clicking the “Lost your password?” link.

Instruction on how to set a new password will be sent to the email account you used in creating your site’s login.
