In reply to: [Nested Pages] Cannot set ‘Page Link’ to ‘Hide in Nav Menu’P.S. Thank you for this *super* plugin!!! Since the drag ‘n’ drop interface is a bit cumbersome with my config, it would be even better if parent/child relationships could be assigned/changed with the “Quick Edit” interface.
Thanks again, Anna

In reply to: [Nested Pages] Cannot set ‘Page Link’ to ‘Hide in Nav Menu’Me too…
Nested Pages Version 3.0.11
WordPress Version 4.9.10
Suffusion Theme Version 4.4.9To organize my site, I need to create “dummy” parent pages as folders for child pages. For example, Main Menu/Browsing Options:
https://bazaar.typeheritage.com/main-menu/browsing-options/historical-period/pre-gutenberg/
I want to hide “Main Menu/Browsing Options” from the breadcrumb path—they confuse site visitors because they display no content.
An earlier version of Nested Pages featured a way to do this [as a link?] while hiding parts of the path. Does this trick still exist? If so, please teach me how to use it. If not, how can I do it with the current version?
Many thanks for your help, Anna

In reply to: [Crelly Slider] The slider hasn’t been foundYour suggestion to change the slider name worked like a charm!!!
Thank you so much, Anna
P.S. Now that I have it working, I need help with centering the images. I will start a new thread for this issue.

In reply to: [Crelly Slider] The slider hasn’t been foundI’ve been there and done that:

The slider is listed, but no shortcode was automatically generated. Any ideas?
Many (*M*A*N*Y*) thanks for helping me, Anna

In reply to: [Master Slider - Responsive Touch Slider] Getting StartedThank you so much for validating my concerns! Disappointed with pre-Gutenburg Master Slider, I have turned my attention to testing another promising slider plugin.

In reply to: [Master Slider - Responsive Touch Slider] Getting StartedI finally managed to find and complete the support registration dialog—the link in the pop-up does not go there… The response thanked me and instructed me to check my eMail. After 24 hrs, no message has arrived!

Master Slider may be the right plugin for my education-intensive eCommerce site! Thanks to the screenshot illustrating fixed-height settings, I am delighted with the result so far:
https://bazaar.typeheritage.com/
Unfortunately, the one addressing display of image info <https://support.averta.net/en/wp-content/uploads/slide-info.jpg was not helpful. I have copied the original Media Library caption (maximum two lines) to the Slide Info dialog as instructed and enabled “Slide Info” as shown in the screenshot of “User Controls.”
Regardless whether I paste the text into the “visual” or “text” mode, it does not display, even after adjusting Slide Height and Slide Spacing settings in an effort to allow vertical space for it.
I have explored the documentation published at https://docs.averta.net/display/MSWPF/Introduction and find no specific instructions for appending text to slider images.
When visiting the suggested Support Forums, I discover that questions are restricted to patrons of the “pro” version. Since my exploration of Master Slider is still in the testing stage, I am not eligible to post.
I am a historian—not a professional web designer <LOL!>. I really need to integrate text with each image as shown on the page linked above.
What can you suggest to a medium-savvy WP user who can follow step-by-step directions? Thanks again for your hard work on this *most promising* plugin, Anna
P.S. If it is helpful, I would be glad to provide screenshots of the relevant settings.

Enabling the “Allow Shortcodes” option fixed the “A valid ID has not been provided” problem—thank you!
Now I realize that Slide Anything is not intended to display images in the way I need:
?Full-width, centered/centered display of each image including its native caption.
?Vertical (second choice, horizontal) transition from one full-width image to the next.
?Acceptable output on mobile vs desktop/laptop devices. The ideal plugin will work like this—plus captions and fixed vertical dimension:
https://bazaar.typeheritage.com/Maybe a future update will offer these powers? If so, it will be the *perfect* choice for my site! In the meantime, I must explore the potential of competing sliders.
With sincere gratitude for your most conscientious attention, Anna

In reply to: https BluesNo such luck… The bbPress “confidential” option is NOT the answer!
Viewing a comment posted by a new subscriber caused the same broken display as first reported. Then after browsing the site, it “fixed itself.”
I’m really depending on Slide Anything to resolve the problems I have experienced with other plugins.
To help you to help me, I have made screenshots of existing settings:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=11bAKSBvCkvM9yo91B9Mv_GL8nHNBHaPZIs there a mistake here that explains the problem?
Could there be a conflict with my theme or with Easy Digital Downloads?
Still optimistic for a solution, Anna
The shortcode on the page matches the one in the slide dialog:
[slide-anything id="37103"]
Has anyone else had this problem before?
Thanks again, Anna

The mysterious https mess happened again recently when viewing a post marked “confidential” by bbPress:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/bbpress-private-replies/This time, it was easy to cure it by transitioning to another post or page. Maybe I should report this experience to bbPress, huh?
Thanks again, Anna

https://bazaar.typeheritage.com/Selecting The Architekt theme solved this problem—thank you! A couple of fine-tuning issues remain—I will address them in separate support threads as needed:
How to center the image caption? The theme CSS is supposed to set this option as the site-wide default.
How to standardize slider display height according to the tallest image and center all of them vertically without adding extra space at the bottom?
Maybe as I continue to explore the options featured by this plugin, I will discover how to tweak them. If not, I’ll post new support topics.
Thanks again for your help so far, Anna
Thanks!
