Is there an alternative plugin for it anymore? Or is it not necessary?

I am having the same issue. It creates “a fatal error” upon installing.

We implemented this and it completely locked out my WP install (index, dashboard, etc) — so we’re going to have to dig into it and see where the conflict was.

Yes, if I am logged in as admin I can see *everything*. However if I am logged out, or if I log in via a different browser as a test user, I also still see the restricted topics.

I am using BBPress.

I want to do exactly this feature, but with pages rather than posts. When I try to manipulate it in various ways it ends up bungled. Any ideas?

NVM- I found it. It is still not working, I get an empty display when I try it. I tried various combinations of ways to bring it up.

I can change the URL of a site after I make it, yes.

After some fussing I can also change it to the url of an existing username, so it’s not throwing conflicts after the fact. That’s good… ?

I’m only enabling new blogs for a handful of users and I need it to match their username for other reasons, so that’s not really a choice to me to let them do it on their own.

I suppose for now I will make a temporary name and switch it over and then give the user permissions to admin it. Unless somebody comes up with a better idea. ??
