Well, according to a quick tidy check you’ve got this going on:

Home page has 2 missing </div> tags, one of them is also missing from the single post page, the other one is only missing on the homepage.

These divs:
“container” is not properly closed ONLY in homepage.
“textwidget” is not properly closed in BOTH homepage and single post pages.

So, my best guess would be for you to close the container div. I think that might be causing this issue.

Just play, designing is playing, try some degradations of gray and a nice touch of blue, then do the opposite, put in some stripes and go ’round and ’round until you like it.

That would be my best advice ??

You can see the tiles in the white background (on the left).
I don’t really enjoy the top and bottom corners (header and footer) They seem like they’re crashing, maybe if they where more “circled”.
The sidebar gray background, I think it’s too dark or too simple.
And i’m obsessive compulsive when it comes to design, so don’t mind me so much ??

I really like the header though as said before the text and every other thing except from header may need to be darker. you could get some great stuff by playing with header colors and the ones you’re using now, some nice backgrounds, that’d look great!

Well, i can be brutal, yet i’ll try my best to be constructive!

Bad Stuff:
– Bad color choices, we see those in almost every search service around that it’s boring, i get the theme is an adsense one, but really… they’re boring.
– The big gray border/big gray shadow are not looking good… and it is bad aligned on upper corner.
– Except from the iPhone, The gadgets in your header are not very good quality, weird beast next to it screams ‘I’m looking awful and i don’t care’.
– As said before, impact font is almost rude to the eye.
– Way too many google ads…

The good part is you wanted us to tell u the issues ??
I don’t know man but I think you should start all over again, i don’t think there’s much to loose here.
