In reply to: setup multisite with one blog already runningHi, I have fiddled with this whole MU thing all day today, and it’s not worth the trouble (in my case). ??

In reply to: don't show "featured thumbnail" before postHi,
that would be perfect … but I need the “featured image” for links on Facebook etc. – I did not use it for my first few posts, and if somebody links to them (or if they pop up on a recommendation inside my website), there’s a blank square or a random image or the favicon… So, unfortunately, I have to set the image, but disable it on the page with the new blog entries…
Thanks, UlrichForum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: setup multisite with one blog already runningOK, I set up the multisite feature and now I have the option to set up a “network” – apparantly, these are a different kind of pages (at least in the German GU it’s called “Seiten”, like a WP-page, but it’s clearly something else)… What to do now? Thanks, Ulrich

In reply to: setup multisite with one blog already runningOh, I forgot something, one of the blogs will be English, the other German. The WP interface can be either or, doesn’t mater, but will I be able to set the site’s languages differently with a “multisite” installation? Thanks, Ulrich

In reply to: deactivate thumbnail in theme "Scrappy"Sorry. Did not know each theme had a support group (though it makes sense). Learning something new every day, literally. ??

In reply to: find or set up URL for new blog entriesPerfect, thank you! What I didn’t get was to create an “empty” page for the blog entries, than go to Settings/Reading and “fill” it from there. Sorry for the confusion. As I assumed, it was really easy, once I did it right. THANK YOU!

In reply to: find or set up URL for new blog entriesSomehow I seem to phrase my question wrong, sorry.
I can create a new “page” from the “pages” menü on the left. What I don’t understand is how I would fill this page not with static text, but with my newest blog posts. Basically, what I want to achieve is a page at https://www.minimedi.de/blog / that shows the blog entries. Right now, I’m only able to show the newest five entries on the landing page of the blog – or, alternatively, show a static page as the landing page, but then I have NO page with the last blog entries, I just only have links to them in the right hand menu.
I have the feeling I’m missing something incredibly obvious… ??
Thanks for bearing with me!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: find or set up URL for new blog entriesHi Ayman, I figured out how to make a static landing page. What I don’t know is how to “make” (and then link to) a page that show the last five posts.

In reply to: find or set up URL for new blog entriesThe them’s name is “Scrappy” (https://www.ads-software.com/themes/scrappy).
Right now I have the last five posts as homepage (see https://www.minimedi.de). I’d like to show exatcly this content, but not on this page. I want to choose a static landing page (can do that) and from there link to a page that has the last five blog posts in full.Forum: Plugins
