Thanks for the info. I was still using PHP 8.1 and didn’t see any errors. I will try to fix this soon.

In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Problems with recent PHP and NGG versionsAs written here, I’ve discontinued the support for this plugin, but I’m planning to keep the other plugin functional.
As I’m using this plugin myself on a regular basis, I will try to keep it running, but it may take some time to implement fixes and I doubt that I will find the time to develop additional features.

In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Update coming? The shortcodes are a feature of the NextGEN Gallery plugin, so, as long as that supports them, they will work. The image choosers (both old and new) are just comfortable means to generate the shortcodes. So, it’s safe to delete the old plugin.

In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Update coming? Thanks for your feedback, I’m glad you’re enjoying the plugin.
Concerning this image chooser plugin for the classic editor, I’ve discontinued the maintenance, because I have switched to the block editor.
Concerning the image chooser block, I’ve presently got no plans to extend the functionality, but as I’m actively using that plugin myself, I probably will make sure that it continues to work. I have just adapted the “tested up to” value.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Gutenberg future? In case you’re still interested: I have just published a new plugin that allows you to insert NGG tags for images, galleries and albums as Gutenberg blocks: Image Chooser Block for NextGEN Gallery
It does not have the full functionality of the old plugin, but allows me to do what I used the old plugin for. If you miss a feature you have used, please let me know and I will see if/when I can implement it.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Gutenberg future?I have started to develop a Gutenberg version of the plugin, but, as the technology stack differs very much from the classic editor and I don’t have any experience with it, there still is much work to do. I’m planning to continue the development, but can’t tell if or when I can finish it.
If someone is experienced in developing Gutenberg blocks, it shoulnd’t be too much effort, though, to create such a block, and the NGG-interface can be adapted from my plugin.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [NextGEN Gallery Image Chooser] Great time saverThanks for your kind review. Glad you like the plugin!
Strange, I just checked again and found no problem with the plugin.
Are you sure that you don’t use an old version from the cache of your browser (I had this problem yesterday)? I would recommend trying another browser or clearing the browser cache.
It turned out that I could free some time right now and I think I found a quick fix. I could only test it briefly, but in my environment (WP 4.9.8 / NGG 3.1.1) the new plugin version (1.1.1) seems to work again.
The fix probably isn’t backward compatible with older WP/NGG versions, but as it’s recommended to use the latest version anyway for safety reasons, this shouldn’t be an issue, in my opinion. ??
It seems that with the new NG-Gallery-Version (3.1.1) the support for legacy shortcodes is broken. I just tried inserting thumbnails with an older version (probably 3.0.16) and the shortcode was converted just fine between text and visual mode. After upgrading to 3.1.1. I experienced the same issues like you.
I will see if I can do anything by upgrading the javascript of the plugin, but I don’t know when I will find the time to do so.
I also thought of switching to the new ngg-tags, but there the same applies.
Luckily I found some time today to look into this issue and fix it. Photocrati have removed some legacy functions that the image chooser used, so I had to adapt my code accordingly.
Please update to version 1.1.0 of the image chooser. This works with NGG 2.0.69 and higher (tested with 2.0.74).
I just checked the image chooser with WordPress 4.1.1, NextGen Gallery 2.0.66.37, and Image Chooser 1.0.1 and everything works fine. Where did you get version 2.0.69 of the gallery? According to WordPress 2.0.66.37 is the latest.
If the new gallery version breaks the image chooser, I will try to fix this, but it may take some time, because I’m quite busy at the moment. But first I have to reproduce the error.
